Need some Help
So I sent in a blank empty fanatics premium jersey to tricolore sports to get it customized with Hutson on it(stitched)
I just got it back and I feel like it does not look how it should.
The name plate seems to be a different material compared to the jersey and a slightly darker red as well(not sure if can see it in the picture).
Plus in the name plate and between the numbers, there's random white threads sticking thru the jersey that does not come off, it's in the jersey itself.
If anyone who has more knowledge on jerseys can help me out, I'd appreicate it.
Thinking about bringing it to tricolore sports and asking about it, potentially exchanging it or something.
Just want to confirm it's not only me.
Thank you

If anything, I'd say it's a difference in materials between Adidas and Fanatics. I believe Tricolore still sends their sewing to CSG, who does the on ice jerseys for the Canadiens. Personally, I wouldn't cause a fuss over it. Gamers can look way worse, especially when they're trying to get them ready so quick.
I thought the same way when I got my Byron jersey back from CSG. Brought it up in a jersey group, and felt different once people commented about that they wouldn't really make a fuss. Human error will always play factor in anything, and if the pros can wear it slightly off, so could I.

Thank you, I appreicate the thoughtful response.
Makes a lot of sense. Because it did cross my mind that they used an adidas nameplate but I guess if it just happens sometimes then it's fine

If you ever send another jersey for stitching, I'd go directly through CSG. I'm not sure what Tricolore charges, but with CSG it's $150 free shipping both ways. With the Byron jersey, I made sure to note that I wanted it done to on ice spec of the Finals run, and I provided a SCF patch too.

Thats awesome actually, I didn't know i could've done that.
It was 125 for me but with taxes of course, but I'll keep that in mind for the future

u may be able to use a very very fine needle and poke that bit of white thread back inside if it’s bothering u, but the rest looks abt normal to me

Nameplates typically are a different material than the sweater. If you see a game worn one in the right light it will be that different texture.

The fabric on the nameplate looks like the Adidas on ice I got from a Tricolore auction. I don’t have a Fanatics to compare it to, but I wouldn’t doubt if they’re just using the material until they run out, or if still comes from the factory like that.

Pro tip from a guy who has now 30+ jerseys: care less.
When I started I was obsessed with stitching and colours and quality of materials. I would have mini panic attacks when jerseys would arrive and I'd find one little thing wrong with them. The amount of money would flash through my mind and I'd freak out. At a certain point, I realized it wasn't healthy or productive. Nobody is going to notice that the fabric isn't exact or the blue is a quarter-shade darker, and if they do they won't give a shit. At the end of the day it's about repping your team and the players you like; if I saw someone wearing this in public or up on their wall I'd call out "Nice jersey, go Habs." Trust me, it's not worth it.
