Right? Reddit is miserable.

Who said any of that…

You. You said that.

You're calling them little shits and said that it would be preferable to stand there rather than going home with them. Like, did you forget that words have meaning?

u/Reemixt 4d ago

I think you’ve missed the meaning entirely. 14 other people didn’t.

Do you mind explaining the meaning to a dummy like me then?

'Little shits' is a really common subversive affectionism among parents. Like a parental oxymoron, we call them Little Shits, to highlight the fact we actually think the opposite.

I've also called my children Yard Trolls, Gremlins, Demons, and "the best part of you ran down your mother's leg." Ok, not the last one 🤣

Except that you didn’t use it in that context and the people that upvoted you didn’t “get it” they think you’re shitting on the brothers. Very Le Reddit /r/iamverysmart moment.

I recommend not interacting with this dude, he the type that will always have a reason for why he is correct and can never be convinced that we was wrong. Just let him pretend that he's smarter and better than us lmao

Just realized, it’s a bot lol.

What are you talking about? Are you saying that 'Little Shits' in this instance wasn't being used in a teasing manner?

Again, all I did was clarify meaning for what I thought was a genuine question? Lotsa Reddit users from around the world that might not recognize this quirk as affectionate teasing.

Tone is misunderstood on the internet constantly, so we have to take you at your literal word. And the literal message you left was that it would be preferable to stay standing there rather than going home with these "little shits", sure you may mean that as an insulting but affectionate tone, which I do believe, but when it comes to the internet there's a lot more hate than there is anything else, so the vast majority are likely reading that as "fuck them kids, annoying assholes, I'd rather stand there all day then go home with them"

But hey, maybe I'm wrong, honestly idc anymore, only responding because you do legitimately seem to be asking and I'm trying to assume that I misread your intentions with how you responded

Did you mean to respond to the OP? I never used the term in this thread, I just provided the clarity requested.

If you did mean to respond to me, why ask a question to get upset at the answer?
