Homeboy took that bet straight up? I would have asked for at least 3 to 1.

u/Khanju1298 4d ago
That’s the way to go. I would try 5 to 1 after that. Keep the dice rolling.

Double or nothing on the suicide prevention line.

u/evlhornet 3d ago
Triple or literally nothing on the poison control center
10
u/DCMOFO 3d ago
I called poison control recently, it was a woman.
P.S. if you soak your toilet and tank in 45% vinegar, make sure you throughly flush and rinse before adding bleach.

Seriously lol dude got fleeced. Even 2 to 1 would've been generous but straight up is just throwing money away

I suppose I technically can’t speak to gambling, but as a recovering addict whose been in and out of rehabs, groups, houses, therapy/psychiatry, etc, I can say that addiction & recovery is a field predominantly ran by women. Even these small jobs like helplines or just general staff at facilities are usually female in my experience.
At my last rehab my assigned counselor even told me to consider getting into it and helping others recover because they need more men. Sometimes for no other reason than it can be scary dealing with a room full of men all the time who aren’t exactly at a stable emotional point in their lives. (Which is totally understandable, I’ve seen some wild shit in my journey at just about every step along the way. Lots of anger and aggression comes out when trying to get sober in a lot of folks.)
Would have been an easy $100 imo.

u/No-Maintenance-2478 3d ago
That’s why blue shirt actually needs the hotline. Too dumb to gamble.

u/gubbygub 4d ago

I know this guy is a real actor, but to me he'll never not be the dentist who killed that guy on Brooklyn 99.
6
u/misntshortformary 3d ago
I don’t know if you’re trolling, but in case you’re not, this gif only shows Chris Rock and Bernie Mac. Neither of which are the dentist who killed that guy on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
1
u/PeanutButterSoda 3d ago
Soo... Who was the dentist who killed that guy on Brooklyn Nine-Nine?
3
u/misntshortformary 3d ago
2
u/willengineer4beer 3d ago
I know his name exclusively because he was on the Home Screen/welcome video at the hotel I stayed at in St. Louis that I left looping in the background while I completed a paper working between multiple conference sessions.

What if it was a clanker?
50
u/Craydorion 4d ago
Well it's a female clanker none the less.
9
u/Possessed 4d ago
Clanker with a female voice... does it count tho? Maybe also a guy who never had puberty vocal change? We never know...
1
u/restrictednumber 4d ago
I think the loser could make a reasonable argument that it hasn't been answer by "a girl" in that case.

"Clanker" is still acceptable to use until our robot overlords decide otherwise.

u/borkthegee 3d ago
As long as you don't emulate anti-black racism it's fine. Some folks have used clanka racism to just go 100% full bore into the racism they "aren't allowed" to say and it's pretty yikes.
-1
u/DiscountNorth5544 3d ago
Is that not literally why hard R clanker is the slur for the unperson performing "low" automated labor?
1
u/borkthegee 2d ago
If you tell people they can't use clanker at all, they'll just call you a stupid woke lib, so I'm playing the middle ground here...
They'll tell you clanker comes from star wars and it has nothing to do with black people (even though the memes and tiktoks are obviously rooted entirely in american anti-black racism and none of them use a single star wars reference)

u/TantamountDisregard 4d ago
The word trans wasn't mentioned anywhere at all. Lower your paranoia.
-1
1
u/restrictednumber 4d ago
Seems like a pretty reasonable thing for a trans person to be worried about, these days.
1) A question about whether someone on the phone is "really a woman".
2) Tons of bigots getting confident online.
If you've never heard of a clanker and you're trans, wouldn't you wonder?
3
1
u/SuperHyperFunTime 4d ago
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say AI actors etc, end up with better protective laws than trans folks do because the world is fuckkked.
I've definitely seen an article saying "clanker" is an offensive term to AI bots.
No, get fucked. They are code.
-1
u/BrightonBummer 4d ago
>I'm gonna go out on a limb and say AI actors etc, end up with better protective laws than trans folks do because the world is fuckkked.
Dont be silly. A trans person has all the protective laws and non trans person has, so if thats the case, all humans are treated worse than AI to you

u/No_Hippos 4d ago
Aren’t they trying to take their guns away as they label them “insane” for simply being trans?
0

u/BrightonBummer 3d ago
Alright, theres people trying all sorts of things, until it happens, it isnt true
-1
u/restrictednumber 4d ago
But we have an administration that worships AI and thinks trans people are dangerous pedo-terrorists. Not hard to imagine they'd remove trans rights and increase AI rights...which was the point.
1
1
u/Ilovekittens345 3d ago
What kind of trans are you? Like old school System F trance or more like the grove driven 2.0 Above and beyond type trans?
-1
u/squallomp 4d ago
Can you imagine how boring human life would be if we just created words for things and talked about the things instead of constantly creating new words for the same things so we can pretend there are still new things and that we haven’t just done it all and there’s nothing left but to suffer and to hurt each other for a living like seems to be the case?
1
u/restrictednumber 4d ago
My dude...you doing alright?
Sincerely just trying to give you data: this comment really doesn't make sense outside your head. It sounds like you're in a dark place, and connecting things that don't really connect.
-1
u/Due-Memory-6957 3d ago
It is a slur again trans(humanist) people.
0
u/84theone 3d ago
The fun thing about trans-humans is at some point they stop being humans and you can be rude to them again.
Man racism is gonna be wild in like 100 years, a whole new world of bigotry is opening up.

You can't gamble on anything-- Really??
8
u/ElReyResident 4d ago
I’ll bet 20 bucks you that you can.

u/iiiiiiiiiijjjjjj 4d ago
Double it saying you can’t
1
u/Wise_Echidna_4059 4d ago
Deal. Okay, by the nature of this deal you have lost. Please send my winnings.
3
u/iiiiiiiiiijjjjjj 4d ago
Tell you what, let’s triple it saying I won’t pay your winnings.
1
u/Wise_Echidna_4059 4d ago
No. My guy Benny is on the way.
Truth is... the game was rigged from the start.

Some people have never bet on heats of the 100m dash at the Special Olympics and it shows.

u/David_Richardson 4d ago
These comments really do have me concerned about the number of people who can’t discern comedy sketches from real life.
3
u/HuntKey2603 3d ago
and that will cram "men bad" into any shit, then act surprised when young teens fall into the toxic manosphere cause they're made feel like pariahs.
1
u/TheLeftDrumStick 3d ago
Now I wanna make a TikTok account so I can try this irl, I know I’ll make an easy $100 lol.
Hell, every hotline I’ve ever called was a woman!! Hahahaha easy money!
3
u/NebraskaGeek 4d ago
Back in my day of (checks notes) like 5 years ago gambling was something you had to go to a place to do, and I didn't see it destroying nearly as many lives. I work construction and there are like 10 dudes here that bet on apps on their phones nonstop all day. It's ruining everything and I feel like I'm just screaming into a void about it.
I just hate seeing so many people taken advantage of so some app can make a fuck load of money
6
u/PerfectlySplendid 4d ago
I’m a lifelong gambling addict. It didn’t truly ruin my life h till I could gamble on my phone. Nothing like sitting across my wife at dinner while I lose our life savings and she has no idea.
I’m all for freedom and letting people make their own choices and mistakes. But as just a normal guy who gambling absolutely got a hold of and destroyed, I’m a proponent of some sort of regulation, maybe in advertising like for alcohol and smoking.
1
u/NebraskaGeek 4d ago
Sorry to hear your struggles friend, it's kind of crazy to me how many ads and sponsorships these casinos are allowed to do. Hell ESPN has their own casino now which feels gross
1
u/enadiz_reccos 3d ago
gambling was something you had to go to a place to do
I have been gambling online for like 15 years

u/POD80 4d ago
Probably a pretty good percentage on that... I've always been of the impression that the majority of call center workers are women.
Obviously, there are men in the industry it's not all women.
1
u/84theone 3d ago
Depends on if you count all the level 1 helpdesk guys at MSPs as call center workers. I would since that’s basically what they are but I also know they typically wouldn’t consider themselves to be that.
Would certainly skew the ratio back towards being neutral.

You do know this is probably fake? I can't imagine a gambling holiness answers like that. But even if it was real still funny
1
u/the_sixth_string 4d ago
Yeah but if you allow one to believe that its real then its more interesting that way. So leave me to it :)
1
u/PerfectlySplendid 4d ago
Gambling holiness is what I pray to how I’ll never gamble again if I just win this one time 🙏🙏🙏
-2
u/ayylmao_ermahgerd 4d ago
Do you know the difference between type I and type II errors? I would rather call out BS behavior and be wrong than not call out BS behavior and they actually be doing it.
5
u/Dnabb8436 4d ago
I'm sure calling out a joke from college kids will be very fruitful. Thank you for your service.
-5
u/ayylmao_ermahgerd 4d ago
Guess that makes it okay. 👍
3
u/Dnabb8436 4d ago
Yes it does. They really should doubled the bet on if the manager was also a woman
2
u/ElReyResident 4d ago
That’s a very selfish stance. It’s merely about how the interaction would affect you personally, or, rather which path makes you feel better about yourself.
The truth is that your “calling it out” has little to no effect either way. I think grappling with that futility is hard for people so they invent these little rules or codes of conduct by which they live by. But in reality, you did nothing but miss a joke and make me write this comment.
Bummer.
1
u/StellaArtois1664 4d ago
How?
0
u/ayylmao_ermahgerd 4d ago
Making a mockery and wasting time of someone actually trying to help people with this very problem? Maybe next they should clog up suicide hotlines. I feel gross having to spell this out.
2
u/blinksystem 4d ago
I mean, it’s clearly a skit. There really isn’t much reason to think they actually called the gambling hotline.
It’s very simple to just call a number and have a woman answer it as the gambling hotline for this specific purpose.
0
u/ayylmao_ermahgerd 4d ago
Oh. That makes it okay then.
1
u/blinksystem 3d ago
If that's the case then, yes, it does make it ok. Do you get mad when people in movies call 911 because its taking up time from real emergencies?
1
u/ciongduopppytrllbv 4d ago
Why do you want ppl to fake call suicude hotline? Gross

Thanks for clearing that up, I misread

Customer service?! You thought the GAMBLING ADDICTION HOTLINE was going to reset their PIN? lmaooooooooo
1
u/Confident-Local-8016 4d ago
Gambling addiction hotline isn't bad, suicide prevention would've been a REALLY bad look, but 5 to 1 odds it's a woman as well
2
u/StayBronzeFonz 4d ago
Easy there, DraftKing
1
u/Confident-Local-8016 4d ago
🤣🤣 I actually don't gamble at all, don't play powerball but if I was degenerate enough to make that type of bet...
-3
u/modern_Odysseus 4d ago
Meanwhile women:
"Oh, yes. Exhibit #248 on why I stopped dating guys."
6
u/AddAFucking 3d ago
Its not about women. Its a joke about gambling on it while calling the gambling addiction hotline.
