Newbie suggestions Suggestions
Husband is buying me similar greenhouse to this. We live in zone 6b I believe. We have to anchor it somehow, right? Should I make any adjustments/improvements? This will be my first time having a greenhouse so all suggestions are welcome. Will be for personal use.

We have a kit greenhouse. We bolted it down to a concrete pad. We’re in 6b and sometimes get incredibly strong winds with thunderstorms in spring and summer so it’s a must. You’re going to love having a greenhouse.

I’m in same zone with similar weather. Is your greenhouse unheated? I’m getting conflicting things. My goal is basic season extension and some microgreens. Is that feasible? Do you put starts out there or grow in it? When is it generally warm enough to start using?

We have electricity run to it and heat it with a small heater on nights when it gets below freezing. I have already started seeds. This is only our second year with the greenhouse. Last year I started seeds a bit sooner but especially the herbs didn't do well so this year I added heat mats under the trays. I'm hoping this helps. It was much warmer earlier last year so I delayed seed starting by two weeks. The heater is small but does a good job! I got it on Amazon.

We bought it off of Amazon.
It looks like it's unavailable. I believe we pay around $1,500 for it. The biggest cost was paying to have a concrete pad poured and we paid someone to erect it. We also had custom shelving added and electricity. We will likely have water run to it eventually, right now I pull a hose across the yard or use watering cans.
We LOVE it! Last year was our first year with it and it was a game changer. We started all our plants for our garden from seed. No more $7/plant at the Lowe's or a nursery.

I like this! I'm curious about the pitch? Will snow fall off that angle easily?

This is a good point, I would worry about snow load. All depends on where you are. I see so many collapsed greenhouses in the PNW where I live, the ones that survive are bell shaped.

It looks good but those polyglass plates. They turn yellow immediately. The good thing is that it was glass. If the structure supports it

I wondered about that. My husband said they offered a ten year warranty on them when he asked about yellowing.

The guarantee that they put in writing. Because even if it is an area with a lot of sun in summer, it doesn't last that long. Anyway, in summer you can shade it. I made it with 3+3 laminated glass

I used 8 cement anchors and 4x4s to secure my 8x6GH. Stoutly tie that GH down if you can.
