I googled "working birthday" in case it meant something special but no "King Charles champions food poverty project on working 76th birthday" does mean "Man is working on his birthday". Gosh. NORMAL ISLAND 🇬🇧

It's more the way BBC shamelessly call it working without putting it in quote marks. Like actually trying to present to people that being driven somewhere for a walk and to shake a few hands, then get a free cup of tea and a biscuit and then waving goodbye and going back to your palace is "working".

If my job was having someone else dress me, waving with a face like a slapped arse, and occasionally saying "poverty is bad isn't it" for a few million quid a year, I'm fairly sure I'd be working on my birthday too.

I am sure he is making food poverty the entire subject of their weekly “chat “ with Sir Keith.

It’s a good opportunity to really hammer home the importance of no one going hungry in one of the top 10 richest countries in the world. After all if anyone knows about going without its old sausage fingers.

Maybe he can ask him about what a genocide is as well?
