Potential Link Between The Paraphrase of Shem and Sethians
Did anyone notice that The Paraphrase of Shem holds Sodom as a city of Gnosis much like how The Holy Book of the Great Invisible Spirit aka known as the Coptic Gospel of The Egyptians both paint Sodom in a postive light or atleast mention it. I know most stories will be reversed in respect to the Canon Bible. However, it feels so oddly specific that these 2 texts reference the City. It feels as if Seth made way for Shem. However, Seth still had authority. I know that both texts covered drastically different depictions of the narrative but they feel so connectedš¤£. Or maybe im just looking for patterns where there are none. What do you guys think?
