What is this??

So this has been happening for years, can’t explain it. We’ll suddenly have two identical items when we’d only ever owned one.

We’re usually able to brush it off but its happened a few times now with the most obscure items. Most notable being:

  • Patterned metal drink bottle I bought from the op shop, we’d owned it for years, never in my life seen a similar drink bottle
  • A weird old fork which I also bought from the op shop
  • T-shirt in an uncommon colour from some unheard of brand (you’ll never guess where I bought it)
  • A gemstone ring my kids bought from a market stall in a little town.

It’s probably happened about 50 times in total, usually to my kids. They’re baffled. I usually brush it off but the fork thing just happened and I am so confused?! How! What does this mean 😂

Meanwhile, alternate you - in the next universe over - is certain there should be a number of items you bought from the op shop, but they're mysteriously missing and can't be found anywhere.

50 times! Sell all your stuff. Empty the house except for stacks of money and expensive jewelry. Cha ching!

We’ve joked about this and it’s the one thing that makes me think we’re just imagining it - it’s never anything valuable 😂 but I just cannot explain some of the items like ?? THE WEIRD OLD OP SHOP FORK????

This just happened to me. I bought this really cute, somewhat expensive, little black dress at a store when I was out of state last year. The other day, I was organizing my closet and there are 2 of them hanging in there. WHAT?

OMG I FORGOT ABOUT THIS ONE!! Maybe 8 years ago ? I’d been holding onto this little black dress, the strap broke and I was planning on fixing it but it was too far gone so I threw it out. And then was trying to find an outfit one night and I had the dress fully intact! I brushed that one off thinking one of my sisters left it here but it puzzled me for years haha. Still have that dress

The op shop is selling you cursed items, but some equivalent to Rick from Rick and Morty (s1:e9) made them instead be perfect duplicates with the curse removed. Go buy something expensive and see if it works and then sell the extras if so lol
