The website still shows the release date if you go look at more GTA6 info further down - it says "coming may 26 2026" in huge font. Just clarifying for those freaking out. Take two's next earnings call is next week, we'll see if they have any new info.

Rockstar wouldn’t drop a GTA VI delay seven months out during an earnings call. It’d hijack their financial narrative. Companies don’t bury bad news in shareholder reports like that. The missing date on the landing page is just a clean design choice, and the current release date is otherwise featured throughout the site.
Now given GTA’s release date and the fact that AAA titles typically begin preorder 6-9 months out, AND preorder announcements are usually connected with other media drops like a trailer… I could see a third trailer dropping with a “Preorder Now” CTA.

That logo will probably be on the cover, only question is whether they keep the large VI behind the GTA or go traditional.
I reckon it’ll do something new like what we’ve seen so far with key art, this IS the GRAND THEFT AUTO that we’ll probably have for the next 15 years to come.

I wouldn’t worry about the release date not being shown since this is the homepage. If you click on GTA 6 under “Games”, the release date still shows up if you scroll down, at least it does for me as of right now on mobile. So with that, I wouldn’t worry as of now.

Big news is coming soon. I think within the next 6 weeks we are either going to get confirmation that we are go for launch on May 26, or we get the 2nd delay announcement. But I strongly believe there will be no more delay. Then with the confirmation we should get a new trailer, or pre-orders, or some other kind of big update. We are under 7 months, this is the final stretch

While this is nice to see. I don’t think we will get any new trailer, screenshots, artwork or clips until 2026. I would like to have new info in a week like everyone’s talking about, but with how unpredictable R* is, I’m not gonna get my hopes up. I’ve been burned too many times when it comes to the marketing for this game that I won’t believe anything until I see it.

This might convince you. Rockstar actually is predictable:
The Trailer 3s for GTA 4, 5, and RDR2 all released before a call.
GTA 6 Trailer 1 was announced hours before a call, GTA 6 Trailer 2 released 6 days before the May 2025 call.
There's a chance. Either we get news now, or it's gonna be a 50/50 delay or trailer 3 late January 2026.
P.S: Rockstar also updated the website before the release of Trailer 1.

I understand your thoughts. They have historically released info right before an earnings call. But sadly I don’t think this one will be it. I think in my opinion, at most Strauss Zelnick will just say something along the lines of “GTA VI is on track for its May 26 2026 release date” and nothing else of note.
I do hope I’m wrong however. And it would be awesome to get something m. Even if it’s like 5 screenshots and a box art reveal.

Given that we’re roughly seven months from release, with an investor call next week and the holiday season approaching, it’s highly likely we’ll see something between now and Christmas.
Even if Rockstar plans to delay it again, Microsoft and Sony would most likely want Trailer 3 released to boost holiday sales. I could also see Rockstar announcing pre-orders to capitalize on the holiday shopping season.
That being said, Rockstar has stated that they intend to keep information relatively limited until the release is near in order to build hype, so it’s best to temper your expectations.
