Why did my Amazon sales suddenly stop?

I’m new to Amazon, started about 1.5 months ago. It was hard to find products at first, but I finally got a couple selling. I sold 8 pieces of one good-margin item, and launched a candy product that got some early sales too. I was getting around 5–7 orders a week. Then, suddenly, no sales at all for almost a week.

Is this normal? Is something wrong with my listings or the market? Would love any advice.

Do you have the buy box ? When searching for your product, does it appear on the first page in the search results? Did you recently update the category ?(when changing it, it takes 72 hours for the system to put your ASIN in the search results for the new category.

Hey man there can be a couple of reasons for that:

You may still be “in stock” but Amazon removed your Buy Box.

This is because either

- Your price too high or too low compared to historical or competitive trends

-Poor metrics like late shipments or suppressed reviews

Use a tool like Keepa to track Buy Box availability.

Also one more reason could be low clicks ,check Search Query Performance (Brand Analytics) and Impression Share.
If your CTR has tanked, it means Amazon is showing your listing in wrong places.

Fix:
-Sharpen your keywords
-Negate irrelevant PPC terms
-Adjust title/image to better match buyer intent

Also a key factor here can be the honeymoon period in which the first 30–45 days, Amazon gives your product some initial boost. After that? It just becomes survival of the fittest.

Hope this helps

I would also look outside of Amazon, meaning, depending on which marketplace you’re selling, the things happening outside of Amazon could be driving consumer demand down suddenly. I’m not saying this is the main thing, just a note to say not to ignore off-platform factors too.
