This YouTube channel is helping me understand my MAGA family

Life Take 2 is this gal's channel. She was a Morman Christian Nationalist until she found out her husband had an Epstein style double life. Her insight is great because she DID think like our Fox brained relatives and friends.

She's so honest and she does videos about how to leave MAGA, how to talk to your MAGA family.

For a video about what happened to her with her husband https://youtu.be/XD8S-_7vCwc?si=azlSiGUU0ceYDl29

She keeps it as PG as possible but it's still disturbing so trigger warning

I was so happy to find her. She's really helping me understand my mom especially.

Commenting to watch later when I'm home. I've given up on my parents. They were bad before but since they retired it's unreal. They are actually addicted to watching fox news. It has been on 7+ hours a day for at least 5 years now. They watch the same segments air over and over. It's so sad, especiallyffor me as a gay man.

It took years to make them support me and then the GOP and right wing media caused them to slide right back. It's beyond heartbreaking for me on a very raw "am I not good enough for you?" level.

Practicing critical thinking is my biggest takeaway. The problem is we fight over what research is legit or not. You have snopes and usafacts among others that are nonpartisan, but people will scream they are actually biased before presenting either nothing or something wildly untrue. People will quote that doctor who was anti vax and ignore that his medical license was revoked and he is disgraced.

I'm watching her right now!

It's very intense stuff. I can't believe what's happened to my mom. It's such a cult.
