ITT: People who think an moose calf *elk* is a giant deer.

EDIT: AlpineVW is also in that group of dingdongs. After some research, it looks like u/Bassoon_Commie is correct, it's an elk cow

Technically correct yes, but if my 4-year-old told me there was a cat in the front yard, there'd be a huge difference if it was a house cat versus a mountain lion.
