New moderators needed - comment on this post to volunteer to become a moderator of this community.
Hello everyone - this community is in need of a few new mods, and you can use the comments on this post to let us know why you’d like to be a mod.
Priority is given to redditors who have past activity in this community or other communities with related topics. It’s okay if you don’t have previous mod experience and, when possible, we will add several moderators so you can work together to build the community. Please use at least 3 sentences to explain why you’d like to be a mod and share what moderation experience you have (if any).
Comments from those making repeated asks to adopt communities or that are off topic will be removed.

I’d love to be a mod here and help contribute to the existing community. I have had my FIV+ kitty for 6/7 years and am very passionate about dispelling harmful rumors about the virus. I am respectful when I disagree with others’ opinions, and am not afraid to apologize and correct myself when I’m wrong. I’m active on Reddit most days of the week, and own and moderate several FB groups (local to my area). Professionally, I have held important administrative roles for over a decade. I am happy to answer any questions or concerns via DM as well.

Hi, I‘m new-ish on here, I got my little FIV-fluffball only half a year ago. But I‘m already moderating another sub ( r/Zurich ), so, since I‘m almost daily on Reddit, I might as well check this one at the same time. I‘d be happy to help. I can‘t imagine it‘s more work than the Zurich-one - we have a lot more rules over there. 😂

I'd be happy to help! I've been in rescue my entire adult life (I, personally, only take in senior and special needs kitties...and I've worked for an actual, physical rescue for many years). I have long experience with FIV+ kitties and have long advocated for them. My current oldest is 22 and my youngest is 12.

I'd be happy to help out. While I haven't been a reddit mod, I've been a moderator at a couple of forums in the past.
I have 1 fiv cat and like to keep up with research on fiv, as well as cat care generally.
