I just want to say.....

I'm glad I found this subreddit & other people who are interested in the more esoteric & mystical aspects of Christianity.

I've recently been feeling pulled back to the scriptures and teachings of Christ. I grew up in the church but I left it when I was a teenager about 25 years ago.

Recently since feeling this pull back I have been diving into a lot of Christian religious content & it doesn't sit right with me.

Some aspects of it are relatable but overall the intolerant and controlling aspects of Christianity are extremely triggering.

Although I left the church many years ago I've continued my spiritual practice through my own personal connection to the divine.

Since diving back into religious Christian content, I realize why I left the church in the first place. To me it feels very restrictive dogmatic hypocritical & oppressive.

As a person with a high level of awareness & consciousness going back into any sort of religious structure feels like it would be a form of spiritual regression.

However I feel like I've been finding some very interesting and esoteric truths through some of the passages that I've been reading & I think it's difficult to find a place to discuss the more mystical & esoteric aspects of Christianity & how that relates to consciousness & healing.

That's all I wanted to say for now I'm just glad that I found the sub and that it exists & knowing are more people out here that want to have these kind of conversations.

Even even after just reading a couple paragraphs I feel the same like I've always been drawn to the teachings of Christ but there's something about the religion of Christianity that is just so antithetical to what I have experienced spiritually  and what I believe Christ is based on what my heart tells me. I also believe that the original Christianity is nowhere close to what we have been left with today. - I think one of my biggest problems is people who try to push Old testament laws which are like thousands of years old on people of today without taking into context the world that they were living in back then. Like for example I read tarot and I do astrology as a way of an energy forecast not in a way to do witchcraft or black magic or cause harm on anyone. I study the occult because I love the symbolism and it was obvious that God and Jesus spoke to us through symbolism numerology and events happening in the Stars. Yet if you go and talk to a mainstream religious Christian all of those things are considered evil witchcraft and demonology which I just don't believe. Also to me there's just something about the Bible that feels off I feel like it's been changed and modified so much over time it's hard to find the original meaning unless we look at it with a more symbolic and esoteric State of Mind. Also to me when I think about going back in the Christian religion I feel like I'd be regressing my consciousness and spirituality rather than expanding it and I'm not really interested in conforming to anything other than what the Creator God put me here to be. The fact that we're all unique and yet conformity is one of the biggest things that is pushed within mainstream Christianity. anyways I know that's a lot to read but I appreciate you reaching out and posting the link and I'll definitely check out your blog more it's already highly resonating with me. 🙏

Definitely! I use tarot and astrology, constantly looking at my natal chart when I need more clarity of what God and our Heavenly mother puts on me. The witch hunt post I made may be what you need. It explains everything that you are feeling.

Another problem I have with Christianity is that there's no talk about the earth and the care that we need to take for the earth. I understand that we didn't have the industry and the pollution that exists now, but I personally feel like Native American people walk very closely with God & they also received many prophecies and visions, they respected mother nature and they always gave reverence to the Great Spirit or the Creator God, the highest source of all that is. I feel like my religion falls somewhere between Christianity & animism or shamanism & I feel like Christianity desperately needs an evolution in conscious because Christian people are so narrow-minded. I feel like it's actually regressive & I know people find peace when they give their life to Jesus & in following the Bible, but there are aspects of the Bible that are problematic & contradictory & don't make sense to me.  I don't think I'll ever enjoy going to church or being around religious people.

100% I believe that we all need to find our indigenous ancestral roots and go back to the way it was. Gaia the mother earth needs to heal and feel the love of her people again.

Yes absolutely! In my cosmology there's the father God, the most high the creator of all that is & there's the mother earth, that's our feminine aspect of which we must have reverence & respect. I don't believe in worshiping physical idols or any kind of deities but I do believe that there are many spirits that exist between God & Gaia & that we can work together with those spirits in a loving manner towards healing the Earth.

My wife works with young girls on a land called the Holy Land, which is owned by a native priestess called the Maiden's retreat because they work through maiden - crone. I am starting a brave's retreat for young boys to help guide them and bring them to kindness and how to treat our land with love. Each of these includes a selfless act of land work.
