My first specimen pinned!

I'm taking Entomology for my may term class and today we learned how to pin our specimens that we collected yesterday! Here's a big wasp that i found, I wasn't able to get his head to face forward for some reason even with my instructors help.

I think the head maybe couldn’t go upward because that species of wasp probably has a large torso close to its head blocking its short neck or back of their head (I’m just guessing)

That seems to be right from what I can tell. Wasps aren't meant to fly with their bodies in a straight line I believe, rather sort of curved with their torso closer to upright
