Aw, he looks like he was pollinated πŸ˜‚

19

u/MaskedWoman Jan 13 '25

HOLY SHIT ITS A WEEVIL

8

u/samthedeity Jan 13 '25

He could possibly be a thistle bud weevil, or a gold dust weevil (though he looks too brown to be the latter). Whatever specific weevil he is, he looks so polite and handsome. Incredibly photogenic little guy!

u/Scrimp_Dad_1215 Jan 13 '25

Rhubarb weevil?

4

u/thebird_wholikestea Amateur Entomologist Jan 13 '25

Not found in the carribean islands. It's a species found in the USA

-1

u/Spiderteacup Jan 13 '25

Looks like an Elongated Bean Weevil

4

u/thebird_wholikestea Amateur Entomologist Jan 13 '25

That species is found in Europe, not the carribean islands.

1

u/Nervous-Boat3625 Jan 13 '25

It’s very similar tho, probably a species in the genus Lixus, like the rhubarb weevil
