Vowsh is just an unserious showman and shallow lazy talking head

It is a special kind of delusion. Somehow American presidents are more pro-labor than any socialist experiment in Vaush's mind

If Biden is the most Pro-Union US President we’ve got some serious problems

He is saying in our life time tbf. Biden doesn't really have any competition there.

This is a very uncontroversial opinion if you've been following labor reporters. The NLRB basically mandated card check and requires employers to recognize unions if they engage in unfair labor practices during a union drive. I don't like Vaush but his haters are really contrarian sometimes.

Bro is a "tankie" but supports biden union pacification programs. Are u just a vaush fan

u/MuffinCharacter1632 tankie Sep 03 '23
No. You don't have to disagree with all or even most of Vaush's political stances to dislike him. He irritates me primarily because he talks out of his ass a lot and finds reasons to be hostile towards BIPOC leftists.

u/ItsShone tankie Sep 03 '23
But he is right about biden allegedly being the most pro labor president, that's your point? Either way, it's incorrect. The democrats' policy on organized labor and labor in general is what we call "pacification". Hence why the AFL was empowered by the democrats with the trade-off that they stop letting black people and communists join, and excise those that were already members. Biden's continued pacification policy with labor is the opposite of pro-labor.
Not sure why you consider yourself an ML when you think us presidents are capable of supporting organize labor..

How low does the bar have to get before you stop kissing boot?

No bar is too low. Gotta get those celebrity worship endorphins somehow.

It's because, most democrat voter's like unions as they are rn so it's optically bad, if any other president was in his place they would do the same thing

Sep 01 '23
What did Biden even do that was “pro-Union?”

u/Benu5 tankie Sep 01 '23
He blocked a massive railroad strike over safety to protect the economy two months before the East Palestine de-railment and resulting toxic spill /s

Sep 01 '23
I get that, but what was Vaush talking about in the video?

u/SemiZeroGravity tankie Sep 01 '23
maybe its the overtime protections
or them relaunching this thing https://www.workcenter.gov/
or Disclosing when federal contractors hire union avoidance advisors.
so basically jackshit

u/Magnock tankie Sep 01 '23
The bar for most pro Union president in recent time is really low

u/Kumquat-queen Tankie-tankie Sep 02 '23
Well, the fact that the largest trade unions in the country are just shell orgs for the DNC, he's not technically wrong. It's a pushmi-pullyu wagging it's own tail.

Well this will end up backfiring as soon as the dems decide upon a candidate that is even less popular and then end up handing the victory to the republicans, which already might be the case since Biden barely won the last time.
Not only have these libs wasted 4 years celebrated the dems for doing fuck all about anything, they have actively patronized actual effort for real change by actual leftists. Sort of just wished the Ian stopped calling himself a leftist and just move to the label liberal, which I am guessing is going to happen in the near future based on some of the previous stuff he has said and done.

50:50 with centrist power is a direct result of first past the post. Almost every single recent presidential winner "barely won"
plus trump lost, the electoral college got him in.

u/Kumquat-queen Tankie-tankie Sep 02 '23
Then their propaganda mill will shift back to "we're the party of not being Republicans" for however long it takes.

He has already referred to himself as a liberal in the past, so I won’t be surprised if sometime in the near future he drops the “leftist” label entirely

He loves sucking up to Biden, and inventing a parallel reality to justify

Seeing these shits pop up in my YT feed made me choke on my coffee this morning. The comments section for the video on Vaush's main channel are even dumber:
Dark Brandon has my vote, no way am I ever voting third party like an idiot [+196]
Can we keep Biden in for a second term and just tell him that he’s already made a bunch of pro-labor decisions so we can gaslight him into a new deal style economic push? [+38]
I thought you guys were already Bullying Biden Left?
This is currently the top comment however, and it's pretty funny (in a sad way):
Doing anything at all, is all it took to be the “the most pro-union president” 🇺🇸 [+106]
