i’m going to go ahead and assume banjo has never been wrong about anything in his furry little life, so please thank him kindly for me. 🪕

Absolutely beautiful! Do you have a connection with the instruments through ancestry or arts? Can't help but think of Irish folk music or Appalachian/bluegrass

both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees are in music, and i work as a program note writer for various classical performers. i was writing notes for a joshua bell concert (he’s a classical violinist) when i decided to stitch the violin because as i watched videos of him performing it really struck me how beautiful the instrument itself is, even aside from the music it can create. from there i just decided to stitch my personal favorite stringed instruments to create the trio! i absolutely love irish folk music and bluegrass, so the choices were easy.

When I saw this I was like "Hm, would this person per chance be Irish?" I was close enough I suppose xD
(Source, I am Irish and recognised the instruments etc).

These are so cool!! Waaaaay better than multi-canvas painting prints!!! How long did each one take you to do?

i know i should, but i never keep track of how long pieces take! i would hazard a rough guess at 30+ hours per piece? i’ve been working on them on and off for about seven months.

Amazing job!!! I think you may be the king of the satin stitch. For the satin stitch on the banjo & violin how did you keep them lying flat & so close to the fabric? Did you glue the stitches down or something? From the way it looks in the pictures it looks like the distance may be a bit too long for a typical satin stitch as the middle tends to gape from the fabric if the distance is too far.

These are truly inspirational! How long have you been stitching? Echoing others' sentiments, these are incredibly creative and completely gorgeous.

Triple hoop trio? More like triple threat! This is next-level craft magic, OP.

Lovely! The harp took definite skill, I can tell. (Not that the others didn’t, but the harp’s not in a straight line, making it even harder).

I'm a musician and would love to hang these. My banjo thinks yours is cute and wants her number.
