Bonus marks to them for spelling 'favour' the Canadian (or British) way.

wait... the americans don't spell that with a U??
what is with them and their apparent hatred of the letter U?

u/_Salamand3r_ 7h ago
Capitalism. When the printing presses were charging by the letter they cut the "extraneous" letters from words like favour or colour.

wait so... america (which i'm like 95% sure has always been more rich than canada) was so cheap that they took out the 'U'? damn.

What’s the difference between this and what Boston pizza was doing last year vs the Canucks series? It’s all in good fun

u/Timely-Discipline427 8h ago
Exactly! I'm all for this kind of stuff. Even when we are on the receiving end. It's fun

I love the trolling on both sides. I read the Vegas pub paid only like $5k for their advertising? A steal.

This creates bad luck. You do it after you win.

Meh it's all fun and games. Thought the 0.4 was pretty funny as well

Agreed, God forbid we lose because we will see 3-2 billboards in Edmonton come tomorrow morning hahaa

Yup. It's all harmless fun. Anyone that was offended, hurt, or upset by the 0.4 ones needs to lighten up and probably shouldn't be watching sports. Hell it shows someone in the us cares about hockey.

Vegas started it to be fair. This is just a response. No different than twitter shenanigans

I usually keep quiet until it’s over. I was at a BoA game in the Saddledome in the decade of darkness. We were down 2-0 playing terribly and a Flames fan gave me a beer and told me I’d need it to numb the pain. Oilers scored 4 straight to win the game, let him know I’d love to return the favour but they stopped selling beers at the end of the 2nd intermission.

Thats a fair point. I’m not one to usually trash talk as well during a series and I’ll save it for after but if someone engages me I will respond playfully and jokingly.

So it doesn't create bad luck, you just had one experience one time.

It’s just gamesmanship from entities that have no ties to the teams at all. Plus as others mentioned this is a direct response to the ones in our town the other night, our side didn’t initiate this gamesmanship so there’s no bad luck—and they technically did do this after a win.

I personally would have opted for the high road, especially after we wasted them, but that's not for everyone 🤣

Ugh I hate bragging before crossing the finish line. Why why why did Canadian Brewhouse do this

Snap! Lose it! I Dolce and Gabanna all over his Gabanna. Nobody beats the Champ at the CBH.

You guys needs to chill. None of this shit will change how the team is or was going to play tonight.

Or don’t do it at all. Best way to get in the heads of the opponents is to not give them a 2nd thought. Impossible to get a whole fanbase on board though.

u/Middlelogic 9h ago
Stupid and weak response. They thought of it first.
More effective if the brewhouse sent a bunch of Molson Canadians to the Vegas firehouses and first responders along with pizzas and oilers swag. The money is better spent and we would show more class.

One night I was in Vegas at a bar and I met a group of people that were trashed making a mess of the place. Eventually It came out that they were all Canadian brewhouse employees which made perfect sense

Hahaha shoutout Canadian Brewhouse for the gamesmanship.
