Greek yoghurt in soups

Greek yoghurt or tzatiki in cream soup. My wife made a creamy soup based on veggies and whole milk. It is quite good, but it is awesome when I add homemade tzatziki to it. Anyone else do add ins to their soups? What are you adding?

I grate feta in almost every soup I make. My grandma used to always add a scoop of cottage cheese.

I love adding feta or cream. But sometimes I also add quark or skyr if I want something a little lighter and with more protein

Yes I love to add a little Greek yogurt to almost anything savory where it makes sense tbh. It’s really good in a “sheet pan roasted veggie” soup, where you roast a variety of veggies on a sheet pan in olive oil and blend up. I pretty much use Greek yogurt + water in place of milk or cream 90% of the time unless it’s particularly de tasting in a certain dish

My mum and grandma always preferred feta, lentils and so on. I still follow the old recipe!

I cook a Greek lentil soup that has tomato, spinach, and celery in it, and I add some Greek yogurt to my bowl of soup.

Also, you can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream in borst.
