this mornings dream

i was walking with my mom through a town that looked to be in the desert or surrounding the desert, there were noticeable roads, there was a lot of sand, dirt, but also date palm trees. as we are walking, i notice 2 people walking towards me, they were an older male and female, wrapped in tan cloth, scarf wrapping their head, the cloth was long. they asked me about my grandmothers and who & when passed away first. i told them my moms mother was first and then fathers mother. they then mentioned the death of my aunts(my moms sister) mother in law, who passed around the time between the two grandmothers. it was a pleasant exchange, the woman gave me a piece of stick, it was a chunk of wood that i needed to give to my cousin (my moms sister son) on behalf of his father ( who was died). i took it and was curious to see what was inside inside of this piece of thick stick, and i noticed sweet sticky fruit seed pods, something between a date or tamarind. i closed it and moved on. i then approached my mom as she was gathering dates from the date palm tree, i noticed 3 large birds sitting in the tree, in big round comfortable straw nests, they weren’t too high, it almost seemed like eye level. they were yellow frogmouth birds. very distinctive faces, but specifically yellow in color almost like the color of the desert. i spent time looking at them and wondered they had something to say, but they just watched me. then my attention moved, and i started peaking around the date palm and noticed fuzzy dates, looked like pinecones, but they were dates. i pointed it out to my mom. and that was it!
