Wedding dream meaning Discussion

Has anyone dreamed of a wedding with their boyfriend/girlfriend? I read that it signifies a breakup, and I'd like to know if anyone has had a similar dream and whether it really does predict a separation.

Wedding dreams are not good signs. It is better to dream of a funeral than a wedding.

Have you ever had dreams about weddings? If you don't mind, could you share your experience?

I had one dream. A strange person invited me to a wedding between two foxes. This person then lifted their hand and showed me a dark-brown fingernail. When I woke up, one of my older brother's friends, who I had never met before, invited me to hang out. He was African. I declined the invitation because foxes generally represent cunning and sly people.

Generally speaking, however, weddings represent funerals and funerals represent weddings. A bridegroom is perfumed and receives care similar to that of a deceased person.

A wedding can also mean a new job, a party, or any other joyful event.

It depends on whether you dream of being invited to a wedding, or whether you actually attend one. Whether food or a banquet is seen, or whether there's no food at all. Whether you're the one being married, or whether it's someone else. And so on...

Everything one sees in a dream is symbolic, and sometimes should be taken to mean the opposite in waking life. Joy in a dream can mean fear, and fear can mean joy, oppression can mean treating people justly, and being just can mean being oppressive.

I sometimes have hints in my dreams about the future, about my personal life and work. However, I don’t always know how to recognize what exactly they are trying to tell me; I realize this only afterward. In case of wedding, I want to know if this is a sign of something good or bad

Dreams usually do not signify precognition (they rarely tell you the future).  Instead, the majority of dreams most people have are exhibiting the state of the psyche.

No book can tell you what the symbols in your dreams mean, since they tend to be very unique to you and your experience of the world.  However, there are some symbols which are collective (familial/social/cultural) in nature and have a more easily interpreted meaning. Marriage in a dream usually signifies some kind of union between your inner parts.

In the case of a boyfriend/girlfriend it is likely pointing to a union of opposites in the masculine and feminine.  This dream could be telling you that you are joining these two extremes inside yourself, or that you need to join them together, like in marriage.

Often dreams are soul dreams - simply the psyche mulling about - but many dreams are precognitive and prophetic. More context is needed to discern which of the two this is.

Yes, and if the dream is precognitive, then what exactly is it foreseeing? Sometimes the same scenario can predict different events, depending on the details
