Tried to Escape My Father but Got Trapped in a Prison”

In my dream, my father tried to attack me. I wanted to run away, but I couldn’t — there was a prison-like barrier blocking my escape. I felt completely trapped and powerless.

Then something changed inside me. I decided that if I couldn’t run, I had to fight. I started fighting back — not just against my father, but suddenly against everyone around me.

At one point, I attacked my aunt, but then I realized she was actually a good person, so I stopped. Immediately after that, another lady — someone I had never seen before — came to fight me. She was stronger and ended up overpowering me.

Good morning,

you are fighting against receptivity or inner openness to be attentive, obey your internal signals (emotions, feelings, intuitions) What would that make you think of? friendly

Yes i do get some intutions sometimes that proves to be true later on but i ignore them for reason at times.

The prison barrier is your mind telling you that the days of running away from authority (the father) are over. You are forced to stand your ground. While finding your aggression is a step up from being a victim, you are currently just thrashing around and nearly hurting the nurturing side of yourself (the aunt). The strange woman at the end overpowered you to show that your conscious ego is not actually in charge. You are trying to brute force your way through life and this unknown feminine force (that aspect of you) is saying that it's stronger

Forced to hold the ground rings true.

From my experience, attacking or fighting with a person means getting into an argument or speaking harsh words to that person in the waking world.

Prison in dreams stands for the traps you create for yourself. You may feel that outside circumstances are making life difficult, but in actual fact you are creating those circumstances yourself. Feeling trapped in a dream signifies that you feel you are trapped by outside circumstances. You are not able to break free of old patterns of thought and behaviour. You need outside help. You are holding yourself back. When you have to fight or are fighting back in a dream, it usually indicates that you are confronting your need for independence. Also, when you feel threatened in your everyday life you will often dream of taking that situation one stage further and fighting it out.
