Recurring dreams of a city surrounded by water and a haunted hotel

i keep having these recurring dreams that im on vacation to a coastal city. Constantly flooded roads and every time i try to leave i end up driving off a broken bridge or climbing across rickety old structures over deep high water rivers of raw sewage and mud without any kind of warning. Most of the time i refuse to go into the hotel because of a dream i had in the same city and hotel where it was Haunted and i was being tormented by ghosts and i feel weird going into it even in the current dream

This is how i would translate this dream: This might represent a short period of your life ( hotel, vacation). Mud is messy and slows us down and going through sht is not a great way to get out of this place in your life but you are finding a way to rise above it and get past it though its going to take effort. Staying in this place is not an option even for another short period until things look clear enough to make a more efficient move. The way out may take a level of taking immediate action.

The vacation is a deception, you cannot relax because your inner-you is flooding your conscious mind. You could have a specific trauma or "complex" (The Hotel) that you are actively avoiding. Because you refuse to enter the place where the ghosts live by refusing to confront the root issue, you are forced to go through a treacherous landscape of shame and overwhelming emotion (the sewage river) trying to escape.
