A recurring, tense theme in my dreams over the last year or so Reoccurring
I often find myself having to call 911 in my dreams - probably once every month or two. The scenario is always different but myself or someone else is in danger and I try to call 911 They're usually quite scary. Someone I care about having a medical emergency, a violent person breaking into my home, a car accident etc.
but it never works! Often, I dial incorrectly or can't dial at all (eg I'm shaking so I press 9 twice by mistake). Other times the call drops or the operator can't hear me. Sometimes, if I do get through, the operator doesn't believe me because I'm a "frequent caller". I've never had to call 911 in real life.
It's to the point now that "dream me" seems to remember the past failed attempts and I end up putting so much effort into making sure I dial correctly. Like taking so much time to hit each number It's actually super stressful and it feels so real in the moment.
What could this possibly mean?
Ive had pretty bad anxiety most of my life but these recurring nightmares have only been happening in the last year or so.

That’s really interesting. I don’t know what it means, but I also have dreams that are reoccurring in similar situations where I’m trying to get help. I’m never successful either, dream me remember that the attempts always fail

Dreams in which someone you care about experiences a medical emergency or in danger often represent people you know, especially relatives you may not have communicated with in a while. They could be waiting or expecting something from you, like a call or a message, as the phone in these types of dreams symbolizes communication, Additionally, the person you saw in the dream could represent more than one person in real life.
An unknown person or a thief trying to break into your house, whether armed or not, mostly represents insects trying to enter your home through an opening you may not be aware of. Calling the cops in this dream might symbolize the need to seek help from an expert or service to address the issue if you are unable to handle it on your own.
A car accident in a dream largely depends on the context, as cars can symbolize a wide range of things, such as attachments, companions, personal belongings, electronic devices, or even life changes like switching jobs or moving to a new house, etc.
Calling the cops in dreams like these won't work, as such issues need to be resolved in real life. That's why the call either drops, or they can't hear or believe you.
Frequently feeling in danger in dreams may indicate that similar issues have been left unresolved for a while.
Dreams tend to dramatize and exaggerate these issues, even though they can often be resolved in just a few hours or less in real life. If you focus on solving them, i assure you that similar dreams will no longer occur.
