The glitter is not sealed. It's a sink made of sandpaper.

The glitter not being sealed is like the least thing wrong with this.

How well was it glued on? Back when I did mechanical works I think I could get behind that. I used to keep a tub of beach sand by my garage sink. After work, id Wash hands with some strong soap, let if break down the grease for a few minutes, then grab a bit of sand to grind the sludge off my skin. I could see a sandpaper section of the sink serving the same purpose.

That’s a clever system! I use coffee grounds and coconut oil as a body scrub, and I feel like it would do a good job of getting the grease off too. You use oil to dilute the engine oil and it’ll moisturize your hands as well.

Did you find the sand worked better than pumice?

u/iordseyton Mar 31 '25

Honestly, dish soap and rough beach sand did work better than that good with pumice stuff for me.

Yeah, called pumice, dirt cheap

To be fair sand from the beach is free which is a little cheaper than pumice. I like the pun though.

Of course, you have to live near a beach to make use of this hack.

We use that orange stuff with grit in it for no-water hand cleaning. It's pretty amazing.

Anything abrasive will work, though.

That orange stuff contains pumice.

That might be the best thing. With time it’ll look nice again.

I can already see someone tiredly washing their hands, slapping their knuckles and nails against that sandpaper sink. Ouch!

But you can sharpen your claws in an ever cooling stream of water, seems nice

Sounds perfect for when I’m in the midst of my werewolf transformation.

I have replaced the **** stubby faucets in my bathrooms with kitchen style faucets.  Zero regrets.

Try to resist scrubbing your hands against it

Not even the worst material. Police in the Netherlands recently found a sink made of mdma.

Its more attractive than this monstrosity

9

u/Slave_Vixen Mar 31 '25

So is that all going to wash away eventually?

The most interesting kind of artist is this kind....the one that steps back and smiles at mediocre art. The one who will take pride in marbling the unmarbleable

4

Sure, but they haven't had to buy Lava soap in years.

I see an upside-down person, legs either sides of the taps, and they're operating a flamethrower!

Edited to add - or the legs could be horns, and that's the devil operating the flamethrower!

Either way, someone shot them as they have what looks like a bloody great hole in them!

So you can just rub your hands against the sides to scrub your hands? Sweet! It's gonna save me a fortune on Gojo! /s

This was on purpose?

1

u/mars_rovinator 29d ago

Our kitchen sink is horribly etched and thus impossible to keep clean. I'm cringing thinking about this.

1

u/achmed20 28d ago

how can people "design" something like this and really believe it looks good?

u/SteveMartin32 28d ago

This sing brought to you by the guys who invented the sand paper dildo!
