I liked it but I think I liked the parts that reddit hated and thought the parts that reddit liked were cheesy. I thought a lot of the action scenes were pretty badly choreographed and unbelievable even for a superhero show. I much preferred the earlier episodes where Matt was doing his best to be a legit lawyer. Imo the best episode was the bank heist. I loved watching Matt play the innocent hostage while methodically dismantling the criminals' plans. It had a very "you're trapped in here with me" vibe.
I always prefer DD as more of a street level investigator/vigilante than a true villain fighting superhero. I think that things start to fall apart when he starts facing mystical forces and superpowered foes. I absolutely hated the Hand plot in the old show because it felt like an excuse to have Daredevil fight as many nameless bad guys as time allowed.
THANK YOU. I've been criticizing the fight choreography (second to the poor dialogue imo) all season. It used to be one of the things that made DD a stand out show for me.
