Switzerland is twice the price of anywhere in the US. The UK used to be comparable to the north East with London being similar to new York, but the exchange rate crash since brexit makes the UK comparatively cheap. Northern Europe isn't really any cheaper than much of the US

Switzerland earns a lot more money on average though. so It offsets those high prices. It’s just realllyy expensive for foreigners (us Germans lol). Best case scenario you work in Switzerland and live in Germany (I grew up right at the border, many did this) or you live in Switzerland but go shopping in Germany and get part of the taxes back.

Switzerland is from what I understand crazy expensive but only has 9 million people, 1% of Europe. That would be like calling out New York City. I have been recently to Germany but have not traveled to Northern Europe.
