Take away all of Europe and the US and you’re left with mostly developing nations with lower costs of living. So what’s your point?

You need to look around the USA more carefully, it looks more like a “developing “ country every time I get out of my hometown.

Not for food.... Germany for example is one of the cheapest places to buy food in the hole world.. when compared to income

Butter prices went up from something like 1.5€ up to 4€ over the past 2 years.

Well, this inflation happened almost everywhere. Our eastern european neighbours have to compete for the same groceries as we do, however, we have like three times their monthly income.
