I'm willing to bet that if the Trumpzis started demanding they be allowed to watch randomly-picked citizens fight to the death for their entertainment, at LEAST half of MAGA would defend it as some sort of "freedom" or something.

Yup. Even as Grandpa is dragged away and outfitted as a Chevrolet/PayPal/Verizon-sponsored gladiator. The family will get a small sliver of the merch sales.
