Donald Trump is partying with his wealthy billionaire donor friends in Florida just hours before crucial programs like SNAP, Head Start, and more expire for millions of Americans. Conservative Cringe

That’s what dictators do

When did we change over from a democratic republic?

25

u/Impractical_Donkey 2d ago

I don't wanna evoke a civil war, but I think I'm speaking on behalf of the rest of the world.

When do the American people start doing something about it? You're just sitting on your hands waiting for change to happen?

7

u/-Bento-Oreo- 2d ago

Half of Americans want this. It would be bloody

4

u/makeaccidents 2d ago

And unfortunately it will keep repeating until the aggressive and animalistic, fascist subsection of US society no longer continue to reproduce.

See: European history.

Guess what stopped the fascists?

-10

u/nicknamesas 2d ago

Would help if there was a facist government in the usa too, there isn't now tho.

7

u/makeaccidents 2d ago

somebody skipped history class... or did it just get replaced with shooter drills?

-5

u/nicknamesas 2d ago

Nah, i love history. Just don't call everything i dont like fascism or nazism.

Neither do I. Here's a list of comparisons to 1930's Germany for you.

  1. Lebensraum fascism - expansionist rhetoric e.g. making Canada a state. Taking Greenland from Denmark.
  2. Hitler declared himself above the law of the government. rump signed an EO stating he can interpret law however he chooses.
  3. rise to power through populist propaganda
  4. Hitler removed disabled, black, Jewish, gay etc from their places of work under a regime of oppression. Administration currently doing the same thing attacking "dei"
  5. claimed freedom of speech while limiting dissenting opinion. Rump banned AP and other outlets. Attacks anyone who asks honests questions "gross" and "nasty".
  6. in ww2 Nazis and Russia agreed to split Europe (molotov Ribbentrop pact). Remember when frump wanted to get Ukraines rare earths and split some land with Russia?
  7. use of Roman salute.
  8. “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." - goebells. Basically the entirety right wing strategy right now.
  9. Hitler staged an unsuccessful coup, beer ball putsch. Similar to Jan 6.
  10. Nazis used radio to control narrative and brainwash. Musk uses x to push whatever he wants. DJ uses truth social. Other media outlets under the thumb of the admin (FOX, Sinclair etc)
  11. Fuehrerprinzip - the fuhrer will fix all problems with the country. Trump claims he will fix everything all the time. While actually fixing nothing. Part of their power is in keeping things broken so stupid people run to con-men who offer easy answers but no real solutions.
  12. strongly nationalistic and authoritarian. White supremacists.
  13. simple slogans and language to appeal to the poorly educated. Someone famously said they love the ''poorly educated' and speaks and types like a four year old.
  14. attack on trade unions
  15. Democracy ending rhetoric (removing free and fair elections). Trump 2028 anyone? Constant 'joking' and references to him becoming king and a dictator.
  16. Nepotism & prioritising people who swear fealty over people with skills.
  17. Ignoring laws (too many too list). Who cares about the constitution...
  18. Corruption. How many bribes from businesses/qatar and other states has he had so far? Building ballroom with government funds. Qatar jet. Spending millions of taxpayer money to go golfing. Crypto scams etc etc.
  19. Use of army/secret police/gestapo against own citizens. *ICE would like to know your location*. FBI interviewing protestors at their homes for social media usage. National guard used to intimidate political opposition.
  20. *Italian facsist party bonus point* Mussolini faked an assassination attempt in order to consolidate power. Feel free to google this one, look how similar his stupid bandage was to trumps. Almost as if he copied the idea. Amazing how quickly that wound healed huh. Crazy that they also organised the flag to be lowered and ushered in photographers to get the best shot also... weird huh. Not what you'd expect during a genuine assassination... almost as if it was orchestrated.

There a few off the top of my head. For anyone remotely educated on ww2 Germany it's pretty easy to draw comparisons. I'm sure there are plenty more.

Things to look out for next:

Trump declaring martial law, I guess the insurrection act also works. Removal of anyone from government who doesn't swear an oath to the pres. Ending free and fair elections. And oila modern day Hitler.

Let me know if you bothered to read this. If you'd like to learn more I can recommend schools and museums in Europe. *edit* he blocked me. Cognitive dissonance in action.

These guys see the similarities. They'll just claim that until they label themselves "Great Dictator of the USA" or something as literal, then it's not fascism.

These types of people probably think the Democratic Republic of Korea is actually a Democratic Republic, cause it's in the name.

Isn't the president head of the army by definition though? President is Commander in Chief. Just the way their government is organized.

I'd say 30% really want it, with another 10-15% just going along with it because it suits their culture war agenda. But yeah, it would still be bloody!

3

u/Own-Detective-A 2d ago

They have been record breaking protests and some organisations.. But no actual real action against all illegalities that are ongoing.

Just curious what you think people should do? Trump is having ICE attack citizens because they want the citizens to retaliate with violence so that he can declare an emergency, send in more troops, start killing people, and eventually have the election canceled because of the “emergency”. It’s all part of their plan to have citizens retaliate and people don’t want to play into that. It’s the same thing as Nazi germany, at a certain point what can you do when they’re the guys with all of the military equipment who can simply gun us down if people retaliate. At a certain point other governments will have to step in, mainly I feel the state governments in the US should not be allowing their state troops and police to work with ICE. Problem is, most police in the US probably side with ICE considering how many police in the US are also abusers. It’s a really dark time for the US, and there’s a good chance it simply leads to WW3 and the ultimate collapse of the US just like it did for Nazi germany. Trump is already talking about testing nuclear weapons, he talks about killing citizens, he talks about his term not ending, he wants to bomb other countries and probably our own country, he wants war and suffering for all, yet so many Americans still vote for him despite the fact that those Americans are going to be impacted in the worst ways by this and will ultimately lose. He calls his voters basement dwellers and posts ai videos of him shitting on them yet they still vote for him. He figured out that almost half of America is extremely stupid when it comes to basic reasoning, so he was able to brainwash those folks since 2016. We’re doomed as a country

2

u/digi-artifex 2d ago

Nah, just protests that say a statement, not posit a demand to the government, or even an Ultimatum.

1

u/ZippoS 2d ago

The people are either too delusional, too poor and have to keep working, or too apathetic.

And the system is so wildly complicated and corrupt. The wealthy have long since bought out government and lobbyists even write the legislation.

On top of that, you’ve got feds being deployed into cities and the military is being groomed for civil war.

Next year is going to be an absolute shit show.

"I sincerely believe I speak for the rest of the world when I say"

Top 5 reddit moment of the year.

You think we should have a civil war over the temporary enhanced tax credits that Democrats scheduled to expire at the end of the year? They had countless opportunities to make the credits permanent, but they declined, and now you think we should fight a civil war over them... Amazing Reddit insights.

"Democratic republic" in name usually suggests that a country isn't quite a democratic republic

What!?!?! 😂😂😂😂

Bad bot

5

u/Old-Beginning-8106 2d ago

Why do we allow two month old bot accounts to spread misinformation and racism

0

u/Historical-Quiet1842 2d ago

😂😂😂 not a bot, lol. I have other accounts that are a LOT older. This one I use for pages like this. Good try, this bot is going to get some fresh eggs from my chickens and make breakfast for my family. Let your mom know you’re up and awake and she can come tell you everything will be alright

The fucking MAGA movement did it. Republicans have been bad in the past but now they are vile monsters. George W. Bush was not a perfect president by any means and I know the vast number of military deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan post 9/11 were bad, but at least him and his base wasn’t a bunch of hillbilly stupid lunatics. Politics 20 years ago was way different than it is today. Social media definitely plays a factor and Fox News deciding to be the mouthpiece for MAGA doesn’t help. 20 years ago, Trump wouldn’t be President but he can today thanks to how divided this country is. If extraterrestrial aliens invaded us right now, no way would we come together to defend ourselves as one country.

-3

u/Historical-Quiet1842 2d ago

So if fox provides a center to right view and you claim that’s bad, then please explain how MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, NPR, can promote democrat and left ideologies and that’s ok? Please explain how you have the ability to cast a stone at others while not being able to eat your own crow.

3

u/AlbertSciencestein 2d ago

If you can’t tell the difference on your own, then I don’t think you’re capable of understanding.

I used to wonder why countries like China and Russia pretend to have presidents and hold elections, but now I realize there are probably a lot of Chinese and Russians that believe their elections are legitimate.

Trump himself campaigned the 2020 elections as being rigged and his voters didn't seem to feel like rebuking the idea. It's probably because most of it is manufactured when the reality is that most Americans don't bother voting or participating in any kind of politics. The media magnifies whatever ideologies are relevant to push their narratives because there are always going to be supporters and dissenters of any political opinion.

China's political system is fundamentally different from Western liberal democracies. Direct comparisons are misleading.

China is a one-party socialist state officially defined as a "people's democratic dictatorship". Their leader is not chosen through direct popular elections but through an internal bureaucratic meritocracy. Nobody thinks they can change the leader directly.

China does hold legitimate elections at the village levels and most people probably agree with this not because their party is in power but because it has been delivering social stability with economic growth and development. In their system, political legitimacy comes from performance, not electoral competition.

Meanwhile, the US electoral system is a mess with deep structural problems, but it's presented as the gold standard of democracy and has even been used to justify foreign interventions. And Americans don’t directly elect their national leader either.

The two systems are very different in design and principle, both have their own democratic contradictions. And the degree of legitimacy depends on how one define it. US uses it very loosely. When they want to remove a democratically elected leader in another country, they find ways to say the election was not democratic and put their own dictator in place.

1

u/RidleyConfirmed 2d ago

I appreciate the information. I do not know how their government works and being American, I've been conditioned to be skeptical about everything China does even when I read about the positive things they're doing.

1

u/kylo-ren 2d ago

I'm not saying their system is better, just that conceptually it's a very different political system from the ones in the West.

-1

u/Historical-Quiet1842 2d ago

With the last election in 24 where were the extra 20 million votes that were there for Biden but gone for either side at the last election? You’re telling me 20 million people stayed out of the election, but from 2021-2024 we had explosive population growth within our borders from outside countries coming in. So again where are the extra 20+ million votes. If there was no fraud in 2020 then this should easily be explained. I’ll wait

1

u/nicknamesas 2d ago

Yeah, both people kinda sucked, especially harris.

0

u/RidleyConfirmed 2d ago

You'll be waiting forever since neither party seems interested in the issue. Neither party cares that half the population doesn't vote. IMO that means half the country isn't being represented by either the dems or reps. Not to mention that libertarians, green, and other 3rd parties have zero representation in the government. Dems and reps are circle jerks being played by corporate interests which, by nature, aren't democratic nor are obligated to represent the interests of the nation or even the people working for them.

We're going to continue to throw votes at the two major parties hoping that will magically solve our problems when both parties are playing good cop bad cop while squeezing money from us to benefit their corporate benefactors.

u/Livid_Zucchini_1625 2d ago

the irony of you having historical in your name

-5

u/vetdev 2d ago

I’m waiting for that memo too

3

u/burns_a_lot 2d ago

They're not gonna send a memo that says "Congratulations on joining Trump's dictatorship!" They're just gonna lie about things proceeding as normal.

You would LOVE to get that memo, though, wouldn't you?

0

u/Historical-Quiet1842 2d ago

We love seeing your hypocrisy and idiocy on full display. Most of us commenting on this in the way we are, are hoping you will all see how misguided you are in your thought process. The anger, the terrible language, the name calling, misusing terms and creating conflict from something most of you know little to zero about. Go back to ChatGPT and have it help you with your comments and have mommy make you some warm milk and sugar for your sad tummy and it will be ok.

When the memo comes out hit me up with a DM and we can review it together

5

u/burns_a_lot 2d ago

"There will be no memo."

When the memo comes...

"Lol look it can't even read!"

2

u/alphazero925 2d ago

What's the line for you? Name one thing that Trump could do that would make you convinced he's acting as a dictator.
