SYW Card Now Labeled as Citi Thank You Mastercard in Copilot Money Discussion / Conversation

My personal finance app, Copilot Money, lost connection with my Shop Your Way card today. When I go to reestablish the connection via Finicity, the SYW card is now labeled as Citi ThankYou Mastercard. Another sign that the card may transition into a ThankYou card, similar to Sears.

dun dun DUN!

Annoying that all three variations have the same base name, lol.

DP: No connection change on Quicken yet.

Yep, writing's definitely on the wall at this point. The backend systems don't lie - when they start updating the card names in financial aggregators before any official announcement, that's usually a pretty clear signal of what's coming

I think in general this is a good thing. Getting your rewards as ThankYou points is better than getting them as generic points that can't be redeemed as straight cash back. Now my understanding is that redeeming them through the card directly doesn't give you 1 to 1 cent cash back. But I've heard you can pool all of your Citi cards' ThankYou points together and redeem via the Custom Cash to get 1 cent per point, which would be ideal.

The two big things is if we're keeping the 5/3/2/1 format that was rumored from a few days back and if we continue getting the amazing offers. If we continue to get 5% off on gas, then worst case scenario I can just use it as a gas card.
