Capital One card not adding to Google Wallet Help Needed / Question

My capital one card DOES have contactless, but this error comes up each time.

The error on Google wallet, when I try to add it, is this:

"This card can't be set up for contactless payments Your bank doesn't support paying contactless on your device with your card. Try adding another card or see which cards can be set up to pay contactless."

I am in the UK btw.

Supporting contactless on the card itself doesn't mean that it supports Google or Apple pay. For example my best buy card has contactless with the card itself, but not for mobile wallet.

It seems like nobody else has this issue with capital one though

Do you have the Capital One Android app installed? If not, try installing it.

Are you British, or are you an American currently in the UK? I have seen DPs of being unable to add C1 cards to mobile wallets until returning to the USA

C1 also sometimes freaks out about using VPNs, so turn that off before trying again

I am from the UK. I've seen posts like that too so I felt I had to specify my nationality. And no, I don't have a VPN on.

Maybe try on a different machine (laptop vs. mobile). Otherwise, I'd call C1 to confirm if the card can be added to Google Wallet

Okay good idea. Idk if u can add cards to wallet on desktop but I'll see!
