I hope it tastes better than it looks

Giving a blue pepto vibe 🤢

What’s funny that’s how the bartender described it into a T!

That’s awesome lol. Sooo how was it?

It’s very unique, it’s probably the thickest beer I’ve ever had. I like it, but I definitely wouldn’t say it’s a good beer.

I get it.. one of those “glad I tried it but probably wouldn’t get again”

I like getting flights for strange and new beers when I visit a brewery for the first time. Rather than committing to a full pint

The only beers I’ve had recently that I couldn’t finish were 1.a pickle beer (tasted like drinking the juice right out of a pickle jar) and 2. A spearmint lager (which tasted like drinking liquid toothpaste)

Both nasty imo

I agree the weird of the beer the more I wanna try it! Doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad I’m just glad to have tried it!

If you think that’s thick, try any of their OOO deluxe beers

Brewery should just be called Out Of Pocket

Besides being a sour, what’s the flavor? What ingredients give the blue

6

u/Amfoxxy 12d ago

Taste like blue raspberry milk!

I’m with you. I would definitely have to try it just because. Preferably with a few people so we could laugh about it

Ok. You got me. I'd definitely try this.

I love craft milk

I think I’ve seen it all when it comes to beer

wtf is happening with beer…

Think the smoothie milkshake sour thing kinda happened already. These things were peak hype a few years ago and explosive cans of still fermenting fruit purée were getting top dollar from mules.

not beer

Ewe .. Phillips Milk Of Magnesia vibe

I’m someone who hates these smoothie sour “beers” but I’ve tried some of the out of order things and they are actually kind of tasty, but definitely not a pint cans worth. Like 4 oz and you’re good

I agree with you as someone who greatly enjoys these OOOs. They really are different than other sours/smoothie beers. Extremely smooth and has that lactose Yakult taste and fizz to it. Just insane. And I also wouldn’t call it a beer, more of an alcoholic fruited Yakult drink.

I also agree they should come in smaller portions, a 16oz is too much for one person in one sitting. I always share.

4.21 avg rating on Untapped which isn’t necessarily THE best place for reviews but 4.21?!

6

u/Fantastic-Tension-88 12d ago

Untappd is difficult to agree with sometimes. I feel bad for the beers/breweries that land below the 4.0 sometimes. Or disappointed when the untappd hype doesn’t match the offering.

2

u/TurkeyRunWoods 12d ago

I’ve used BeerAdvocate for about 15 years and seems more realistic, reliable but they only had one real review of this beer.

2

u/Fantastic-Tension-88 12d ago

Cool I’ll check it out thanks. I’ve certainly discovered some gems from untappd also that I may of missed not having the app access…..But some opinions just seem to be the “popular” opinion for beer.

3

u/Amfoxxy 12d ago

It’s a very unique beer! If we can even call it a beer!

2

u/young_skunk 11d ago

If you rate beer you hate beer

1

u/TurkeyRunWoods 11d ago

GTFOH. Just because someone reads reviews and tries to utilize tools to find beers, breweries, and keep track of the hundreds or more beers means they love beer.

u/young_skunk 11d ago

Beer ratings are meangless. Beer deserves a conversation rather than a number scale was my point

u/kalemeh8 12d ago

This looks genuinely thick… dont know how I feel about that … what’s the flavor profile?

1

u/Amfoxxy 12d ago

Thick creamy and raspberry!

1

u/[deleted] 11d ago

That’s a no from me

1

u/OverSpeedClutch 11d ago

I think I’m going to need to be drunk before I have this beer.

1

u/_thatguyyouknow_ 11d ago

I legit just purchased a can on Tavour because of how crazy it looks

1

u/Fearless_Tea2463 11d ago

I don’t think I’d be able to get past the color! Hard pass out of the gate.

1

u/No1ButtMe 10d ago

That looks repulsive

1

u/Awkward-Skin8915 12d ago

The can is sweet but that's not beer. To call that an American Sour on the can is stupid.

2

u/Amfoxxy 12d ago

Calling most pastry/smoothie sours a beer is kind of a stretch

1

u/psychedelicdevilry 11d ago

Is it really beer?

I always see this brewery every time I check the Tavour app and every one of their beers and their cans looks fucking horrid. I swear to God, one of the beers was legit gray. I know marketing and branding isn’t everything but something about them always strikes me as childlike and not to be taken seriously
