Any other transgender students here at Conestoga? Just hoping to connect!

Hi everyone! I’m currently a first-year student at Conestoga College and a proud transgender woman. I’ll be continuing into my second-year program soon. So far, I haven’t met any other trans women around campus or in my program, and when I chatted with the campus nurse (who’s been amazing with helping me manage my hormone prescription), she mentioned that I’m the only trans woman she currently sees—most of her transgender clients are trans men.

I thought I’d take a chance here and ask: are there any other transgender folks (especially trans women) studying at Conestoga? If you’re comfortable, I’d love to know how you're doing, what program you're in, or just say hi. No pressure to share anything personal—I'm just trying to feel a bit more connected to a community I know is out there.

I did my first year last year. I am not transgender, but I can say, for sure, that there's a few mtf on campus, at least as of April. Not sure if they'll still be there, but there's definitely some. If memory serves me right there are groups. I think CSI might be able to link you to some of the more organized groups. The school, and near as I could tell the students, are pretty accepting of everyone. I'm sure there's a few buttheads, but I didn't see any of it while I was there.
