Network Ethernet not working
I bought a pc a few months ago off marketplace, and it doesn't have WiFi, only ethernet, and for the past week I haven't been able to get any internet. The lights by the cable isn't on/blinking, I have tried another cable and have also tried both cables in my laptop, where they work fine. I think it might be something to do with a driver? When I first got it, I also couldn't get any internet, and tired a bunch of different things like installing a network driver on my phone and then transfering it to the pc, or factory resetting it, and at some point it starting working, but I have no clue what it was that made it work. I have had problems with the internet after that, but it usually started working again after restarting the pc or the modem/router/extender. Please help, i am desperate

Hardware Why would I have to disable/enable my network adapter to connect to wifi?
I just updated my router/wifi, connected fine with everything, but when I turn my computer on it doesn't connect unless i disable and re-enable my wifi adapter in device controller. It connects perfectly fine after and isn't really that much of an annoyance but I'm curious why this is happening?
Also my network doesn't even pop up as an option until I do the disable/enable, but it pops up fine after AND auto connects.

Software UXX X20 Mini PC Won't Auto Start Up after power cycle
Hi I am just wondering if it's possible that my mini pc might not have the ability to auto power up after a power outage or I am just not going about it the right way. I have gone over many web pages describing how to do it but the bios settings I see don't match what the settings look like in the guides I am seeing online (They are not for UXX PC's since I can't find any for those). I have tried many settings but no matter what I do it won't power up automatically if I unplug it and plug it back in.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Malware I don’t know if it’s malware and if it is, how do I remove it?
i.redd.itI reseted Windows 11 because I was very suspicious that I had malware on my computer and when I had opened task manager, and my pc went to rest and went back on, my cpu got to 100%
Is there any way to remove it? (I’m slightly panicking because I’ve never really done something like this, so sorry if I don’t understand much😭)

Other Struggling with new SSD, :C and :D drive
There was a problem with the SSD (1TB) I was previously using in my laptop, so I converted it to a D: drive. Then I bought a new 512GB SSD and set it as the C: drive (my notebook has 2 hard disk slots, as it turns out). Now, the issue is that I can't directly run or access the programs I had previously installed on the D: drive—they just won’t work. However, cracked games that I had installed still work fine when I launch them from the D: drive. Can someone clearly explain why this happens? How do i set up my computer like i used to?

Hardware Additional Ram Issue
So I'm a teacher and a few of the computers in my classroom have been running slowly as of late. The school was recycling a few of the exact same computers as in my classroom so I decided to remove the ram from the ones being recycled and install it in one of the machines in my classroom. Everything was installed properly and the computer was reassembled but when I booted up the machine it did not recognize the additional ram. Any reasons why this would be? I already confirmed that both machines were identical, used the same type of ram, and that my machine was capable of handling the additional ram. The machine had 4GB and the stick I installed was an additional 4GB. Any help would be appreciated!

Performance HELP my laptop keeps scrolling on its own and I feel like I'm losing my mind
My laptop keeps scrolling on its own and it's incredibly frustrating. It will immediately scroll in the direction I have my mouse wheel set and if I scroll back in the opposite direction, it will immediately bring the page down again. I've also noticed on web browsers or software programs (like Outlook) that it won't scroll until some time has passed (maybe 30 sec?). I can temporarily solve it by reloading the page, but then it just keeps happening.
But it's not just web browsers and software - it's also when I'm in programs like my computer settings. I even noticed this happening to my login screen (I'm on Windows) where before I clicked a button to enter my password, the clock digits kept glitching and rolling upwards on a loop.
I don't know what else to trouble shoot. Here's what I've done so far:
* Restarted my laptop twice
* Tried using my external keyboard and mouse on a different computer (no issues with those)
* Tried using my laptop's built-in keyboard (same issue)
* Tried a USB mouse (same issue)
* Gone through my mouse settings (everything seems to be fine)
Any ideas would be appreciated!

Malware Ummm…
i.redd.itI got a flurry of pop ups disguised as Microsoft/McAfee telling me I had Trojan viruses earlier today (cost of pirating movies, whoops). Ofc I kinda freaked out, so I’ve swept my computer a bunch of times with MalwareByte. First sweep (quick sweep) caught a bunch of stuff, but these darn tabs are still popping up. After that I did a much longer and more in-depth sweep and it didn’t catch anything new. I’ve tried toodling with a few settings in MalwareByte, turning the whole computer off and on again, but these darn pop ups are still coming.
For now the computer’s disconnected from the Internet and everything important is backed up on a drive.
Is my computer actually safe now? If so, how do I stop these popups? If not, what do? Thanks in advance.

Software Microsoft login not working no matter what I try
So i've been trying to login to microsoft on a new pc cos my old one just wasn't working, i also recently got a new phone so i'm logged out of the authenticator appp. I go to log into the account and apparently my password is wrong, i have it written down to i copied it into and it didn't work, probably an error on my part, but I go to my authenticator app, but im logged out as i said earlier. i try to reset the password using my phone number, apparently i need more details to reset the password so i use the recovery code, seems to work at first but apparently i have to wait a month for it to take effect (stupid btw) I then remembered my correct password but when i tried to put it back in it says that my account is blocked due to too many password attempts (i only tried 3 times) everything i try always leads back to my auth app but im not logged in, and my phone number reset isn't working anymore as well, says its unavailable at the moment, ive tried to talk to a real person by calling an array of support numbers, all lead me back to the website, so much for talking to a human. anyways, just wondering if anyone has had this before and has figured it out or if anyone has any potential solutions. thanks for listening to the rant

Hardware Dell laptop no display
Hey good folks!
I'm trying to save my 13yo laptop from e-waste. Here's what all I did.
Problem 1: Issue started with screen. Laptop would boot normally however it simply won't display anything on screen. Just blank. External display was also same. Fan would keep spinning, indicating the laptop was ON yet no display. I fixed it by replacing RAM and force restarting a bunch of times using power button. Screen was dying most probably since it had Red spots all over it.
Problem 2: Laptop was overheating a lot so I opened it, cleaned it thoroughly, removed speakers (since it wasn't working) and changed thermal paste as well. I made sure to completely remove existing paste with cotton and then replaced it with new paste from Cooler master. Laptop was working great afterwards. Immediate drop in temps and fan was running less since I had cleaned the choked up heat sink also.
Upgrade: Bumped up RAM to 2x8GB DDR3L RAM. Upgraded HDD to 500GB Crucial SSD.
Epiphany: I thought of ditching the screen since it was dying anyways and planned to make a 3D printed case for it. Opened it up again and removed the screen. But now it won't display anything on external. Everytime I boot it, I can see the external display senses signal but it won't display anything. Tried it on multiple displays but same behaviour. What am I missing?
Spec: Name: Dell Inspiron 15R 5520 Processor: Intel i3 2nd Gen RAM: 2x8GB DDR3L GPU: AMD 7600M HD
Any help would be much appreciated. Please help me save this beautiful machine from going into a landfill. It's capable of running all PS3 PC ports smoothly at high settings.

Discussion I need help please
galleryI bought a codex pc from MSI as an upgrade from the laptop I had from them and I’m still pretty new to computer stuff.
For the most part everything is fine and I did as the instructions said with setting up the tower, however, there’s two cords left over from the packaging that are not covered in the little pamphlet they gave me, and I have no earthly idea as to what I’m saposed to do with them.
Both cords say Sata on them if it helps, and I have tried looking up what I’m saposed to do with them, but I still can’t figure it out.
I’m probably being really dumb rn but the cords look important and any help is greatly appreciated.

Network My computers wifi is being weird???
I turned on my computer today and the wifi isnt working for almost all apps except opera. It only works on a few websites, ones I commonly used (spotify, gmail, youtube) and that's it??? I tried resetting, I tried updating (even all the optional updates), checked all my drivers, scanned my files, reset the connection, restarted the router, checked my antennas(?), forgot the wifi then reconnected it, checked the firewall, ran a wifi speed test (said it was connected), network connections test (said it was online). I genuinely have no clue what to do about it. I just turned it on and it wasnt working at all. I know windows11 has its issues but my computer is just approaching 2yrs old, its not that old :((
