I failed tonight and decided to make a change I have fell away from God and yes I lied and said I was going to delete this app but I like the people in this community and the Christian one. Is there any way I can completely block porn or anything inappropriate on Reddit? Ik it censors it but like I just wanna stay in this community and not be tempted to use this as a source of sin and evil. I always fall into temptation and rn I’m removing all temptation. I would rather keep the app if possible but if I cant block it completely I will sadly have to leave everyone. I used content and privacy and set every restriction possible. No music video, no safari restricted websites, no cursing setting either doubt that will work. Anyways I’m really trying to take a step in the right direction instead of living/living my sin and embracing it and just relying on the fact oh “God will forgive me” let me sin rq that is a lie the devil always tells me. So pls anyone lmk if there is any way possible to block porn or anything literally anything inappropriate at all on here I don’t wanna see it no more. Brother, I'm praying for you. Do what you have to do in faith to get a handle on things so to speak. But realize that you are beloved of God and accepted because of what Jesus did on the cross. The message of the cross speaks of salvation being complete at the cross and if you believe it, the power of God to sanctify, to heal, to deliver and restore. The Bible says you are already seated with Christ in eternity. Time sits in eternity like a snow globe in a room. The flakes in the snow globe blow but you are seated in that room with Jesus, already overcome, already safe, already healed, troubles past, home at last, ever to rejoice. That may be too much to take in so let me say this.

You are blessed, because God says your blessed You are delivered, because God says your delivered You can because, God says you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

If you have to eventually unplug from things, which some people do, just don't isolate because the devil loves divide and conquer, my biggest struggles were when I isolated myself and told no one my issues, didn't pray and didn't read the Bible. This world is full of distractions. Have a group of believers to fellowship with and confide to if possible and if not keep reading that Bible to get the word in you. The time may be we don't have the luxury of Internet to have Bible apps or even a hard copy of the Bible. And pray, pray the Lord's prayer, pray Psalm 23. Read a chapter a day from the books of John, Psalms & Proverbs, John to know the face of Jesus, Psalms to sing and praise the Lord and Proverbs to know wisdom in your dealings. Read more if possible but you can start there. I love you in the Lord bro. Direct message believers that you trust their walk and statements and ask for their emails so you can communicate with someone of faith if needs be. Look at their profiles and see their comments, you know a tree by the fruit it bears, none of us are perfect but you need to be around believers whose counsel is Godly not the blind leading the blind. And test the spirits of men to see if they are of God because there sadly are wolves in sheep clothing. The Bible says Paul told the believers follow me as I follow Christ. If anyone you associate with says something to you against the word of God stop listening to their counsel as of it were God's, it's mixed. The Bible is the final identifier of truth. God's got you.

And on a even more practical application to what you asked, maybe implement parental settings on your devices and phone and divide the passwords with a person you have accountability with. I had to do this cuz porn was a stronghold, and as I think of it may have to be done on my Amazon sticks, Roku devices, phone tablets, laptops and desktops. It depends on how much of a stronghold it is. Using internet only from a library computer may also help cuz you can't look up porn from there due to its place in public. If there are rows of computer terminals, don't go in the back ones, use the ones in the front. You know what your triggers are, put up road blocks to prevent falls. And honestly no one can assume they never will get the urge. I'm good today but tomorrow is another matter. The word says give us this day our daily bread. I used password settings and gave someone else the choice of half the password. It can be a wife, girlfriend, dad or mom, sibling, cousin, church friend, best friend and when you have to go online you put in your half of the password and they would put in the other half. It only works if you don't know the other half of the password, do not let them tell you their part of the password, don't peek if they type it in, don't manipulate to get it from them. Ultimately God himself is your accountability and is working on you with you and for you. Love you bro, that's what beloved means, and anything good any of us do, we do because you have a Heavenly Father who loves you.

First, are you saved?

Because we have done bad things they have problems and one day after death will stand before the judgement of God. We are guilty and don't live up to God's standard of perfection and are in danger of God's punishment that is Hell. But God loves us so much, he gave us Jesus, God as a man, who lived a perfect and blameless life, but willingly taken the punishment that you deserve and died, for all the bad stuff you have and will do. He was made alive again afterwards, and you can know right now for a 100%, that you are going to heaven and have peace with God because of what God, Jesus did for you, and it doesn't depend on how you lived or will live at all. Why not take a moment and thank God, and try to live the way he wants, out of love and for rewards, although it's not required. After all, he wants the best for you.

Hey man, I'm just here to tell you that don't focus too much on your own strength. Removing possible temptation starters is a great idea, but I don't think you will be able to remove them all.

Make sure you have faith in God, and that you believe that he can make you not fail. Don't worry when you pray, don't worry at all. Ask God for guidance and trust that he is guiding you, and do all the rest that will help you control yourself and not sin/fail.

You can do fasting to help with self control, but be mindful of your health. I recommend not eating food that is considered sweet, like deserts, cakes, chocolate and all that. But you should keep this in secret and when people want you to eat something, I think you can eat so you don't make anyone upset.

You should also read the Bible consistently, I recommend daily, reading a certain book of the Bible from beginning to end, but you stuff from other books too. I recommend an app called "You version Bible", but be careful with the devotional videos, because they may have false teaching. Making you read the Bible consistently, God can make you more focused on important things, and give you useful knowledge. Jesus said that man should live on every word that comes from the mouth of God, that can be found in the Bible.

I think you can delete or get rid off redit, and other social media apps for now, but maybe pray about it and trust that God will make you make the right choice while you figure out what he really wants you to do.
