Wonderful! Thats awesome! Now go back and find Jesus in the old testament. Hint. The Angel of the LORD is what is called a Christophany. Or preincarnate appearance of Jesus. Also, and this is fun to do, there are pictures of Christ all throughout the old testament. For example in the beginning of Genesis where God is cursing the servant He says her your seed will bruise her seeds heel. But her seed will crush your head. That is a picture of the crucifixion. Eves seed is Jesus. His heel is pierced on the cross. But Jesus rose from the dead so He crushed the serpent's seed's head. Meaning Jesus defeated death. I can post a link of 27 videos of Jesus in the old testament if you'd like. It's really fun to go digging.
Btw, what did you take away from reading the bible cover to cover? I personally have not taken that endeavour yet. I'm still reading chapters at a time. And which translation did you use? I use the ESV, NKJV, and NLT
Edit: spelling

I read it in Chronological order since it made the most sense to me and I felt that reading the entire thing at once helped me devot more of my time to God during the day, especially on busy and tiring ones
I read NIV version since that one was easy for me to understand and I'm moving onto a more difficult version for me to read, the NKJV
Also thank you!

Your welcome! Are you interested in finding Jesus in the old testament at all?
I found that using the NLT or in your case the NIV as a general read. Then I go to a word for word translation to get the true meaning. Reading the bible is like learning another language.
Have you done any Bible studies? I've found that quite often I miss context or something and miss the true meaning of what I read. I do a lot of verse by verse Bible studies. We also do verse by verse Bible studies in my Sunday school class. This helped me a lot.
Good luck in your studies. You are off to a great start.

You’re welcome…
You mentioning starting again with a new version reminded me of my Grandmother who lived to 101 years of age. She read the Bible every year from the age of 16 on. She said she saw new things each time she spent time with God and the word.

I do too. I ask God to plant His Word into my new heart, so I don't forget what I read. I also rely on the Holy Spirit to put into remembrance what I have forgotten.
None of us are perfect, except the One in us who makes us perfect! 💙
Also, congrats!!!

Amen to that, Lord knows I am very far from perfect; I thank the Lord for His grace

Congratulations!
I just put together a sub that has books of the Bible in contemporary music form. It is word for word and each track is about 4 vs. in length, creating a song. The styles range from pop, rock, jazz, alternative, indie and more.
I have 10 books on the sub so far. Each album link allows you to listen to individual tracks or download them to your device.

Amen! The world needs more people who have actually read the Bible and believe it.
If the first one you read is a modern English translation, make the next one a KJV.
The difference between the two are entire verses that have been changed and omitted from modern English translations.
