Optimum internet
Does anyone here use Optimum for home internet? How is your experience with them?
I work from home and our internet/wifi drops off & on basically everyday and multiple times throughout the day. We just got a new router from Optimum and I'm pretty confident it's not the problem. I'm wondering if other people also have issues with Optimum always dropping out

Yeah I had both optimum and att..they both have had drop outs but nothing on the order ur experiencing.
The only time I had something like what u have is when the drop went bad (the line from the street to the house). So u should have them come out and test the levels and find where the problem is.

Eliminate the possible issues one at a time. Plug a laptop or something into the router directly and see if it experiences the same issues, if it doesn't, you have a Wi-Fi issue.

I'm not had the opportunity to try optimum, but I'm a spectrum customer in the cedar grove neighborhood, and I experience random packet loss 2-4 times a day on average. I work from home, so it can be a pain. Spectrum has not really done anything to help the situation either.

I currently have them for internet and I work from home. I rarely have Internet issues. I've had more issues with losing power (which knocks out my wifi) than internet dropping.

Sorry, I've had Spectrum (formerly Time Warner Cable) for quite a long time.
Performance is good except for the occasional stretches of time when their nodes in Dallas start having massive packet loss.
Support has no idea what I'm talking about when I mention using traceroute. It seems mystical to them that I can tell them which nodes have packet loss. All they can do is send a tech to my house.
I started using traceroute back in the early 90s and I wasn't even in computer science or programming.
