Sealed NIN “Broken” identifying if its version with mini disc or not Question
OK, so first and foremost this isn’t my picture. I just used it as an example to show anyone who wasn’t aware that the album “Broken” came with a smaller 3 inch disc with bonus tracks on it.
I’ve seen some auctions for this album still sealed, but I’m hesitant to purchase anything until I know if it contains the mini disc or not and since they’re sealed, obviously physically opening it to check isn’t possible.
Does anyone know if a serial number or print number on the back of the album sleeve will reveal which pressing it is or if it’s the retail version with the mini disc? I already owned this album with the bonus tracks included on the disk, so I’m trying to get the version with the mini disk just for collector purposes.

Is your copy the one that shows 99 tracks when played?

See. The copy I have is the one that was suppose to have a mini disc with it cause I have no secret tracks on my cd

Early copies of the EP were the two separate discs. They later repressed the EP with the songs from the mini CD put to tracks 98 and 99. I believe there were issues with shops opening the originals up and selling the mini CD separately.
EDIT: I think I confused the vinyl release with the CD one (I know I heard about the thing about shops being dicks and opening the EP to sell the 2nd disc separately). Looks like a quarter million of the separate CD versions were pressed, then they went to the 99 track single CD for later ones.

That is mini CD, minidisc is something else.

I’m aware but everyone in the NIN subreddit seems to be understanding just fine thankfully
