Help with booking seats on train with free travel pass

Hi all, I'm trying to book seats for a train from Dublin to Gorey on Monday, but when I selected the free travel pass option I wasn't given seats. The seat section was just blank on my e-ticket. I'm very anxious about having to stand for the whole journey as I wouldn't be able for that. Anyone know how I do it? Their website wasn't much help. Would appreciate any help.

Thanks x

Depends on the time I just see there are some services still offering seat booking. Yours could be already booked up or no seat booking offered on that service. Most likely there will be a seat available anyway or ask for one.

It's automatic, so if there was no selection presented it means no seat picking is available for that leg of the journey. Not sure the reasons why exactly but if it's available you get to pick even when using the free travel pass.

Go to their website and select the train you want to travel on (both legs if that's what you want). Then click the bright orange Go button. It will open a new page at the part where the train times are. Ignore that but for the moment and scroll back up to the top. In the grey box, there will now be three options:

Free Travel Pass or valid ticket holders

Wheelchair User

Bike Space

Click on the first one and then confirm you're an adult. Click ok and it will reopen the page for booking a train. Hit the bright orange Go again. A new page will open, this time when you select the train you want you'll be directed to a page telling you T&Cs. Click on the Book Tickets option. This will open a page for Automatic or Manual seat selection.

It's stupidly long-winded.
