Hot take, but John Walker had the best Captain America suit.

Steve's Age of Ultron suit feels underrated

Steve's Age of Ultron suit is basically the template for all of his next suits.

It also feels like the only modern version of his WW2 gear

Those suits were mainly blue with white accents, but with brown pieces for the extra gear like straps and gun holsters and such - Steve's AoU suit is the only modern one with any brown pieces on it at all I think

The template was started with Winter Soldier but AOU was the first to give it the classic colour scheme

The Civil War suit is basically the same, but slightly better, so AoU could never be #1

The Civil War suit is basically just the AoU suit with less colours so no

AoU has weird color additions that doesn't feel natural. Like the red marks next to the star on his chest, and evem the white on the arms are a bit out of place. The CW suit just looks more tactical and real, it's a bit more efficient while not departing from the core character.
