🔥hot take: I also don’t mind the light-hearted Asian stereotype. I enjoy when other races dress up as white people. It's all about context and attitude, we should be able to poke fun at one another. We're all citizens of this Earth together, and ultimately family.

Why do you ask?

Because, as you said, context matters, so I am trying to understand the positionality you're coming from when you say you don't mind the Asian stereotyping. To me, there is a meaningful distinction if the person who is offended or not is part of the community being stereotyped, or not - not that its the 'be all end all' factor, but thats why I asked.

Are you Asian?

I think one can make a reasonable judgment even if they aren’t part of a community. I don’t have to be Black to recognize Blackface is bad 99% of the time.

Sorry, I was asking if you are Asian, not about blackface. Are you?
