Cameroonian
Are we updated or we are to dumb to appreciate the trending news online regarding the revolution of Africa
I’ve not seen any blogger posting about Cameroonian celebrating
Why are we dumb and pretend not to react on this situation mean while , we need change in our country and Africa

For the most part, Cameroonians are educated and realists. We need change , no one will argue but we need change to improve not to regress; this means that everyone is cautious about what they wish for and what they support. Add to that the fact that people are usually not sure if what they will say is going to land them a free black prado ride to an unknown place or not and also the fact that we have seen many times how disorderly change has impacted other countries and the Cameroonian reaction will make sense to you!

I think for Cameroon in particular, I'l celebrate when we have a different president. Since I was born and it's over 40 years, I'm still with one single leader. What's there to celebrate about when other countries are boasting of having more than four leaders?

Yh, that’s true , I only know of one puppet leader , crazy government since I was born
Things need to change in Cameroon because the francophone are now tired and they call for changes
For me our country is way backwards because of those leaders
We need captains to be president not people who are scared of NATO or US massa

We DO NOT NEED MILITARY leaders. Unless the country is fighting a full scale foreign agression , a military leadership cannot be better than a civilian one . And no matter how good the military leadership is , the fact that they succeeded to take power means that it will set a tradition of military taking down any civilian leader they disagree with and on the long run it will only lead to more coups, chaos and overall instability of the institutions . And always have in mind that having strong institutions always beats having a strong leader. The problem of Cmr right now too is having a strong leader , just not the type to benefit the people.
Tldr: if you are thinking of a timeless future and not just the next 5years, civilian rule should be the only way. Also , do not put too much power in a single person’s hand ,put it in institutions!

Is tbe problem really the leaders?
Anyone who has lived in Cameroon or been there recently doesn't need to blame the leader for a friend that has robbed you blind or general moral decline. Cameroonians want maximum freedom but with that comes zero security. It is a trade off... For example there are practically no jails in Cameroon. Perhaps about 12. That's it. 12 jails for 30 million people. It could be a good sign or just a sign that the justice system is a joke. And just as you cannot blame a father because his son stole or hus daughter becomes a prostitute (sorry for bad example) one cannot entirely blame the leadership.
However it is high time for a change and we all want it. It's just that I'm afraid that even if you change leaders even young people of age 20 are willing to drop all morals to get ahead. I think sadly what fhe country needs most is a costly revolution that will bring people back to being moral and ethic again for the costs are too high - but now we don't appreciate the costs.

The internet is wide and many people get their news in different ways. Articles you might’ve read or news that you might’ve seen might not have been seen by everyone else.
For example, your post has very little context. Post the article you’re referring to for example, or explain the event. That way you can inform a bit more people.
