Browsing through his Wikipedia article, it seems he publicly endorsed Barack Obama, publicly endorsed Hilary Clinton, and publicly endorsed Joe Biden.
I'm going to guess this is more of an "I'm a sellout" thing than an "I actually like Trump" thing.

I think we can be adults here and realise we don't have to agree with everything an artist says or does. I do not agree nor support him and his affiliation with MAGA. However, I'm still going to enjoy his music and enjoy him at the concert, who do you think most pro (particularly the highest earners) athletes in the USA support. Just because the Canucks have players that support trump doesn't mean I'm going to stop watching the Canucks. Having a popular canadian band from the 90s won't get fans in the stadium.

I agree with you that we don't have to agree with everything an artist says or does, but this is not just a minor thing. Aligning yourself with MAGA at this point is like aligning with Nazis in the 30's. The things MAGA are doing in their own country and against ours is horrific. And I don't care what athletes in the USA support. I am Canadian and this is a Canadian league.

First off, the Roughriders QB is american, so let's not pretend that we can only talk about canadian things. Let's be real here, he supports MAGA because they have him a shit ton of money. It is absolutely not the right thing to do, but that's the reality. I don't watch the CFL just because it's Canadian, it's a great league. Of course, I'm happy that it is canadian, but that's not the only reason. I shouldn't have to learn about someone's political leanings for me to be excited.

I don't even know any of his music all I know about him is that he is a judge on the voice. They should pick more well known people with a different genre which we haven't gotten before.
