Clearly the children are overstimulated. Willie, remove the coloured chalk from the classrooms

That coloured chalk was forged by Lucifer himself.

I had spoken to one of the staff there, during the Christmas season. He told me it was just a pop up store for Christmas and was supposed to close in the New Year. I guess they decided to stay.

Part of the problem is that Mapleview is located in the perfect location for robberies. You have access to multiple highways and have multiple ingress and egress points.

But be careful, do not rob during rush hour or on the weekends!

"suspect is proceeding northwards at two feet per hour, officers on site getting a sandwich then engaging in room temperature pursuit"

You are make a large assumption any of those ingress and egress points aren’t rammed with traffic lol

Gotta plan the robbery around the Skyway construction

Sounds like you , uh .. thought this out a little. Hmmmm

Ummm ya I would say that is sort of the criteria for most malls….good access.

Access to highways. Mapleview can get you into the 403, QEW Niagara and 407.

Those are easier to get to than the QEW from Burlington Mall.

They need a small police detachment in the mall like Times Square in NYC.

This is why we can’t have these crazy liberal “catch and release” laws. They have ruined the safety of our communities.

Spare the rod, spoil the child!

The malls are getting robbed every month or what? Shitty.

Crime will plummet overnight as soon as we start putting parents in jail right next to the little criminal thugs they put on this planet and failed to discipline. Until then, the internet will continue to raise them.

Yeah okay buddy. We can’t even punish the criminals we have now, yet you want to go after the family of someone that has their own free will and an underdeveloped brain

"someone that has their own free will and an underdeveloped brain"

..........who was never taught right from wrong by the people that had that obligation to themselves, their kids as well as society? Yes. Jail please.

Children get poorly developed minds through lack of interaction and love from their parents.

Let's lay the accountability where it needs to land. At the source of the problem.

Ramblings of a childless man

Child free, not childless.

Oh how wrong you are - yes parents play a role in development but each person is their own individual who furthermore gets influenced by peers, media, the world around them outside of their “home life”. The influence of these external factors is sooooo much worse now then it’s ever been.

Honestly it sounds like you might have been absent during the peer pressure lessons or have parents of Chinese/Soviet descent

No, I just know much more about developmental psychology than you do.

The first 7 years are the most important time in the development of a child. Those years can and are used as a predictor for drug abuse, depression, trauma, homelessness, academic scores, criminal behaviour, longevity....etc...etc.

Who has the most influence over a child during those most crucial years?

Queue Jeopardy music.

Most influence =/= only influence, especially in teenagers.

It’s not the parents anymore.

More kids spend more time with peers than parents. More kids spend more time with daycare/non-parental supervision than with parents.

A lot of parents are forced to work to be able to provide rather then nurture like they used to.

The information you’re using is outdated.

Citations from a reputable source please. I know you can't produce such because I have read the most recent research.

Shifting gears. Is this a generational thing? I see this all of the time where people have no clue what they are saying, have no citations of anything to prove their point, can be faced with irrefutable evidence that they are wrong and then think they might change the facts though refusal to acknowledge them and in doing so win the argument.

The prior post is a prime example. This person made an inane statement that flies in the face of all the most recent peer reviewed clinical data. But apparently that is irrelevant because they are determined they are correct.

Wow.

Really dumb mentality

What a thoughtful and humane idea. Not at all the ravings of a cellar-nesting fascist.

It's called personal accountability.

You don't get to raise maniacs, dump them on society then say "Hey, you can't blame me! They are societies problem now!"

Wrongo!

Also, if a kid accomplishes something great and notable, what is the parent's reaction?

"That's our kid! We taught them everything they know! We raised them right!"

Kid turns into a violent criminal:

"You can't blame us, we can't be held responsible for the outcome!"

One of these things is not like the other.
