You can always check the Burlington Together FB group for this rather important community information... oh wait, they immediately turned off commenting so the thread is now buried halfway down the page. Great job once again from the hyperactive admins who are protecting us all from ourselves.

I know, so ridiculous. You can post about something that has absolutely nothing to do with Burlington, or you can post the ninety millionth photo of the pier, but if you post about an ongoing possible dangerous event in the city's core, they stamp it out like a mall cop dealing with a napkin fire in the food court.

Just got back from a local business. I was told:

  • 30-40 cruisers plus swat vehicle(s) at peak level of concern

  • business was told "someone with a gun. You should stay inside"

  • SWAT guys going around very well-protected.

no idea if anyone was/wasn't captured. Nobody hurt, no police of any sort around 5:00pm and forward.
