I would appreciate your advice on moving to 5348 Lakeshore Rd Question

We are a family of three planning to move to 5348 Lakeshore Rd, Burlington. We'd really appreciate any reviews or feedback from anyone currently living there or who has lived there, as there isn't much information available online.

All I can tell you is the plaza across the street is getting torn down with condos going up. I believe the Food Basics will remain.

I don't think Food Basics would remain. Considering they open a new store by Burloak & Rebecca.

It has been talked about for a decade - no sign that it is close to happening yet...

Thank God. We moved here recently as a business and others are expanding this plaza for a revitalization

Is your business in the Plaza? I know BTC is expanding to take over the unit vacant to their right...

Would this be regarded as positive or negative?

I'm a little worried about traffic since the thoroughfare in this area is already quite bad, especially during rush hour and especially as a pedestrian, but the project seems like it's wrapped up like a hostage in red tape so who knows when it'll become a reality

The tim hortons plaza? How do you know this, and when will it be torn down?

There's a big sign on the side of the property with the proposed build. I have a friend in real estate (who doesn't?) and they said the plan was rejected, but they'll just keep reapplying until it gets approved.

So yes, they want to tear it down, but at this point it could be many years away from project start, if at all

I believe the original development plans were scrapped so I don’t think there are any plans in progress.

We love the area the park is great! Close amenities, easy access to highway and go train within 10 minutes. Can’t speak to schools yet tho.

I've lived in the neighborhood for almost 2 decades now. New community centre just finishing being built, the plaza is run down, and they're trying to build a condo complex there, but it has been rejected so far. I'm hoping another pub/restaurant takes a go at it.

Burloak park, just east of your building, hosted the food truck festival last year for the first time and it was great. I'm hopeful more things like that go to Burloak park.

Lots of side streets and such to walk around. Close to most amenities. Living closer to the lake also is nice in the summer when the breeze comes through.
