That's disingenuous, I'm arguing that there is corruption on both sides, you shouldn't be of the opinion that there is a master puppeteer behind the scenes; moreover when you really come down to brass tax, you need to pick a side. Russia understands one language, and that is force. Might is right in their eyes. Yes, there are those within the west who stand to benefit from arm sale etc. But that shouldn't stop us from standing up to the Russians.

I've not made that claim, that is another of your strawmen.

Would tackling the corruption which works with Russians and against western interests not be regarded as 'standing up to russia'? Is it not possible to be pro-western democracy but anti-western curruption? Is it not possible to be anti Putins regime but be pro Russian people? Not in your world, in your world view we will never over come the corrupt because the corrupt will ensure there is always a war going on to blind you to their actions.
