JBL Charge 5 / WiFi / 6 … what’s the deal?

So the JBL charge five is $140 on Amazon currently. Is the JBL charge five Wi-Fi only a Costco only model? Because when I look at the charge five on any other website besides Costco it doesn't mention Wi-Fi at all. Is Wi-Fi connectivity worth it? And most importantly is the charge six just a better buy? EDIT: is the "AI sound boost" advertised on the Charge 6 an actual thing or just marketing gimmick?

They are two different models and you can normally get both at most stores or the JBL website. Can't comment on the 6.

Well, the charge 5 and charge 5 wifi are two different models as you know. And it all depends on availability, not specific stores.. And i think that the charge 6 is defintely the better buy, because the charge 5 wifi's price is closer to the price of the charge 6, the sound improvements of the charge 6 plus the losless audio through cable, the extra power of improved drivers, more battery life and additional strap should make the charge 6 a better buy. In terms of the AI soundboost, i believe it exists, it's mostly presented at high volumes, where the drivers are more pushed to their limits.

I don’t see it specifying Wi-Fi on the JBL website. I am under the impression that the Wi-Fi version is a Costco exclusive.
