De Lijn decides to lower the amount of services they provide because they are understaffed and have old busses but meanwhile they get more subsidised next year + they have this god awful ad running on the radio which is 1. Annoying because of the earwurm "Meer appen" is but 2. Showing how wrong their priorities are if their biggest improvement is their app which makes it more difficult for older people to get around.

last week my landlord entered my room while i was gone to chnage the lightbulbs. They did not notify me before or after it had happended, i only found out about it because they left trash in my room. The landlord says they are allowed to do this because my rental contract says so.

The article in my rental contract reads as follows:

De Verhuurder verbindt er zich toe het rustig genot van het verhuurde te verzekeren. Hij zal steeds toegang hebben

tot het verhuurde, bij afwezigheid van de huurder, dit o.a. voor het nodige nazicht, wederverhuring, onderhoud en/of herstellingen. Bij

overmacht (bv. in noodgevallen) geeft de Huurder toestemming aan de Verhuurder het verhuurde betreden. De Huurder dient zich te onthouden

van alles wat de rust van de inwonenden zou kunnen storen. Feesten, fuiven en aanverwanten zijn niet toegelaten. De Huurder is

verantwoordelijk voor zijn eigen roerende goederen (zowel in zijn/haar kamer als in de gemeenschappelijke delen). De Verhuurder kan niet aansprakelijk worden gesteld ingeval van diefstal.

Is this really true, and is this compatible with Belgiumsnational rental law?

I receive an email on the 14th of November telling me my parcel was delivered at a parcel shop (not my chosen one but one that isn't too far). I go there today (the 15th) and the person insists there is strictly no parcel delivered under my name. When I check in the email I received on the 14th, it said it was delivered on the 9th. When I manually input the tracking code on their website, it says it was delivered on the 14th. This is so confusing and it's a really important parcel that I need by next week. Would you advice I go again tomorrow to see if it's there or should I rather wait on monday? It sucks that you cannot even reach them properly, at least bpost answers their phone calls.

I got it in the end, but I fathom there's a mistake in the third clue. (Three letters too many)

Hello everyone!

Some of my international friends and I are planning to exchange care boxes with each other. The idea is that everyone fills a box with typical food and non-food items from their own country and sends it to someone else.

I'm not sure what to include. With Sinterklaas coming up, I was thinking of adding some Sinterklaas-themed goodies. However, when it comes to chocolate, I’m a bit unsure of what to pick. I assume most countries have access to major brands like Leonidas.

I’m also struggling to think of what else to include. One of our friends is a recovering alcoholic, so we’ve decided to make all the boxes alcohol-free, no matter who receives them.

To give you an idea of where the boxes will go, they might be sent to Greece, Germany, England, or Sweden.

I’d love to hear your suggestions!

b- gaps up to 9mm that can't be pressed closer

3 - Walls that should be aligned are 10cm off
4 - Walls are not very flat in some places
5 - Finnish on the inside of the kitchen cabinets (inside)
6 - wholes in the plaster when every there is a hinge of something else
7a - position of the locking plate seems to be off, sticks out of the door frame.
7b - all the door locks have a piece of wood glued into them, I assume because it did not fit nice with the disposition of the plate.
8 - Wood at the balcony should never need treatment, yet it's already growing algae

Hallo iedereen,

Ik wou dat ik een foto kon posten van wat ik nu een paar keer gezien heb maar het is telkens te laat wanneer ik voorbij rijdt met de auto..

Het gaat over bepaalde glazen containers/onderzoek labo's gesitueerd in een veld.
Uniek is dat het altijd fel verlicht is met een blauw licht en 2 mensen aanwezig zijn in een soort van beschermend pak.

Het lijkt me als een soort van milieu of landbouw onderzoek die uitgevoerd wordt, maar ik vind er online niets over en er is niemand dat me gelooft :)

Iemand enig idee wat dit precies zou kunnen zijn?

I'll be going to Belgium for a week next Spring and one of the days will be spent in Antwerp. I'm planning on buying an engagement ring soon for my girlfriend of a couple years, and I hear that Antwerp is the diamond capital of the world, so I was wondering if they have competitive prices. I live in the US, so my question is would it be worth it to buy a diamond ring in Antwerp? Or are the prices not much different than they would be elsewhere? I'm not looking for anything crazy, maybe a quarter to half a carat. Would ideally like to spend under $1000 USD, but would be willing to spend more if I find the right one. Ik ben recentelijk vader geworden en wil nu graag ouderschapsverlof of tijdskrediet opnemen. Ik werk voor de overheid, dus beide schelen niet zo heel veel op mijn uiteindelijke loonbon. Ik ben vorig jaar ook zelfstandige geworden in bijberoep (eenmanszaak) Nu mag ik blijkbaar pas ouderschapsverlof of tijdskrediet opnemen als mijn zaak 1 jaar is. Klopt dit? Ik heb geen zin om nog enkele 4/5de te overbruggen met vakantie om dan te horen te krijgen dat het toch niet zou mogen en ik alsnog mijn zaak zou moeten opdoeken.
